I'll agree there hasn't been enough people calling Trump out on this, but I think the ignorance is more in the realm of personal health than a blind allegiance to politics. I know people from both parties who have supported and pushed the death shots, and if I consider the other health choices they've made in their lifetimes, it's definitely in line with a trend.

Nutt's comment is the best. Trump failed and I liked him. Still do. People make mistakes, so I get other people's point of view. It's nuanced. Fauci should have been canned. Given my age it might be the biggest failure of my lifetime that I've witnessed. I'd still vote for him again.

It doesn't matter. People are going to be vaccine shamed now and they know it. Trump pushed the vaccine, likely via Fauci who said it couldn't be done but saw an opportunity to make money as a non-elected official. That's where Trump failed.

We never needed a vaccine from the word go. It was obviously a flu. There were OTC drugs and supplements to treat it.

I needed the tests for travel to get in and out of countries/territories komputodo. Didn't "want" to do it. We got some of the best travel deals from 2020 to the start of 2022. Kind of the hidden blessing of the "pandemic" for us. We also had nurse friends with shitloads of tests they'd just give us.

I'm not ashamed; my decision was based on the balance between having a low functioning immune system (over age 60) and the risks entailed by the shot itself.

I have also taken other shots over the years; flu shot for example.

In 2017 I felt shitty for a day; I must have had some sort of virus. Before 2017 I think I was sick for a day in 2012.
Before 2012 I can't recall feeling bad for one day for years.

I've got 3 kids so they're always bringing shit home. I have some sort of sinus infection/cold going on now. Annoying more than anything, not a lay on the couch/bed type thing, so not bad. Weather is changing here in IL, so change of season for some reason I get something. I think I should be good till the fall/winter after this. Knock on wood, but I don't think I've ever been sick in the summer. Probably natural vitamin D.

I drink very little and very infrequently; I'm just slightly above complete abstinence.

It seems very easy to explain to me. Hate for Trump is a religion, a religion even more intolerant, fanatical, and impervious to facts than Wahhabism. It allows not even the slightest dissent under any conditions. Any suggestion that Trump might have done some good things for the economy and by keeping us out of wars is ignored or dismissed.

On the other side, our support for Trump is conditional on his continuing to do good things for the country. We all know he looks a bit sketchy, but he really did do those good things. And now that he is failing to acknowledge the obvious harm of the vaxx, myself and millions of others are no longer supporting him.
