The pipelines suffered at least three major leaks, due to suspected sabotage.

Blasts detected near Nord Stream pipelines amid leak – Swedish seismologists

Scientists in Denmark and Sweden registered underwater explosions near the Nord Stream pipelines on Monday, when several major leaks were reported. Sabotage is now suspected as a key reason for the damage.

“There is no doubt that these were explosions,” seismologist Bjorn Lund with Sweden’s National Seismology Centre (SNSN) told public broadcaster SVT on Tuesday.

The Danish military released aerial footage of the leaks, showing large spots and visible bubbling in the water. Nord Stream 1 suffered two leaks northeast of the Danish island of Bornholm, while Nord Stream 2 was damaged south of Dueodde, a beach located at the island’s southernmost tip, the military noted.

Earlier in the day, Moscow said it has been looking into the reasons behind the leaks, suggesting the pipelines were targeted in an act of sabotage. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that currently “no option can be ruled out” on the causes of the incident.

The Nord Stream 1 pipeline was completed in 2011. Construction work on Nord Stream 2 began in 2018, and suffered numerous delays due to political pressure and sanctions from the US. The pipeline was finished and pressurized in September 2021, but never actually got online.

Two days before the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, the German government put its certification on indefinite hold, and has repeatedly rejected any suggestions, both domestic and from Moscow, to open the pipeline.

I can second that. I know a first generation German lady, very nice, but SO against Trump, wouldn't hear anything about rigged elections, and totally buys all the Ukraine horseshit.

I hope she pays dearly for her support of Biden at the gas pump, with electricity bills, etc.

I don't. She's a good friend, and a really good massage therapist(how we met).

I think the independent Europeans all left Europe by the 19th Century.

We've all seen the Eurotrash Germans laughing at Trump when he warned them about this exact situation 4 years ago at the UN.

There was no situation.

The problem is Germany is a conquered country dominated by the United States. It's not Russians that are going to cause Europeans to freeze to death this winter, it's our American "leadership" that will. That's who drove up energy prices, that kept us locked down in a fake pandemic.

Recognize who your enemy is.

We're also, quite obviously, not the land of the free and the brave. This is a nation of pussies, stupid, and full of shit.

As I said before the dead giveaway would be CCCP not starting the repairs and letting it sit damaged, meaning that this is what they wanted all along as to use as force majeure to wiggle out of paying penalties for non-delivery. Remember all the talk about Europe freezing to death? Me too.

Did they start the repairs? Nope.

Maybe Russia is not interested in repairing a pipeline that USA can just blow up on a whim (exactly as Biden said he would do(

What would be the point of Russia repairing the pipeline when the US will just blow it up again?

If Europe wants Russian energy THEY can fix it. If they don't want Russian Energy, well India and China do.

The US, in the meantime is happy to sell energy to Europe from the Middle East they have been bombing for 20 years.. I mean, it's not their energy, legally, but the US doesn't care about law or other trifling things like that.

I would guess Russia has found a better market for their product, one less hostile, less risky, and more profitable. In the meantime, the US government gets to screw Europe. Seems like a win-win. Unless you're a European citizen.
