It's been so long, I want to feel something, anything.......

My daughter in Berkeley felt it
6   Patrick   2021 Jan 14, 12:18pm

Nothing in Menlo Park.
7   krc   2021 Jan 14, 12:23pm

My wife did, not me. East Bay.
8   Ceffer   2021 Jan 14, 12:28pm

It was small in Concord. Locals would have felt it, nada in Tri Valley.

Shook my house over here in North CoCo County for about 10 seconds. Felt like a sustained 3.0 on the Richter.

Been through a lot of earthquakes through my lifetime in California. Some of the biggest I never even felt. Sometimes it just makes your lamps sway a little. One time a 3.2 early in the morning felt like someone lifted the corner of the house 6 inches and let go. Sometimes they gently rock, other times they jolt.

Still waiting for the big one. Apparently nothing to see here. Back to work.

[had a deadline and forgot to hit post earlier]

That's all the really matters!

Apparently a 3.8, centered right around Concord. https://scedc.caltech.edu/recent/Maps/122-38.html

Apparently a 3.8,

That sounds about right. Considering the inverse square law of wave propagation and my distance from the epicenter my guesstimate of 3.0 was about right.

is that what she said?

According to Biden, most of us on here are. We just haven't been rounded up yet.

Another one in the east bay. My wife said this one was bigger. I did not feel it but I was rocking out to heavy metal in my shop.

4.0 near San Lorenzo.

Anyone feel it?
19   EBGuy   2021 Jun 28, 7:14pm

Always more fun when you're several floors up in the air. Wheeeee!

Yes, it was a pretty good jolt in Tri Valley. Usually, when they are that strong, a piece of wood falls off the house somewhere.

The Hayward Fault jostles.
21   BayArea   2021 Jun 28, 8:22pm

Nothing in Tri-Valley
22   mich   2021 Jun 28, 8:43pm

Nope North Bay

Outlaw clearly.
24   NDrLoR   2021 Jun 28, 9:09pm

Nothing here in Waco!
25   B.A.C.A.H.   2021 Jun 28, 9:51pm

Did not feel it in Mountain View. A family member phoned: strong in Hayward Hills
27   Ceffer   2021 Jun 28, 10:18pm

For such a 'moderate' quake, it really shook up a lot of areas with comparable strength quite a distance from the epicenter. Dark dots are 4, light dots are 3, triangles are 2. If it had been a 5.5 or larger, it would really have fucked up a lot of stuff. My dorm rooms the first two years at Berzerkeley were right over the Hayward fault.
