I have been confused by the hostility of family and friends. I look at people I have known all my life so hate-filled that they agree with opinions they would never express as their own.
This reminds me of the early 90s when I was in England and we were flying relief missions into Rwanda. This was before Rwanda made the news. The intel briefs spoke of the intense hatred between two tribes to the point they were slaughtering each other. I do not recall the news estimating the casualties at 1 million or more, but that is what we were told. Why would people who lived side by side for so long now be at each others throat's? Also around that time, I remember some Cambridge grad students from Yugoslavia (Serbs) who spoke of Croats and Muslims as vermin that should be annihilated. And of course, Yugoslavia had a civil war where people who lived side by side were now killing each other. I wonder if humans have a locust/lemming instinct, where such mass hysteria kicks in. Lets hope that is not starting here. I have noticed that Conservatives believe that Lefties are misguided and need to be voted out, but the left HATES Conservatives and wishes actual harm on them. The comedian with the severed head of Trump, the short story in a major paper about the Secret Service helping a Russian murder Trump, and the movie about assassinating Bush come to mind. Also explains why so many on the Left know the election was stolen, but are fine with it.
