In a national poll! Will he get both the electoral college and the popular vote this November? https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2020/white_house_watch_sep16 “ President Trump has now edged to a one-point lead over Democratic nominee Joe Biden in the latest Rasmussen Reports’ weekly White House Watch survey. While statistically insignificant, it’s the first time Trump has been ahead.
The new national telephone and online survey finds the president with a 47% to 46% lead over Biden among Likely U.S. Voters. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, while four percent (4%) remain undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
The race has narrowed over the past two weeks. Biden had a two-point lead last week, but that survey also marked the first time Trump had edged above 45% over the past two-and-a-half months. Prior to this week, Biden has bested Trump in every weekly survey since White House Watch began at the beginning of July.”
Also support for BLM has dropped double digits according to a Pew poll. And support for a Blue Lives Matter law that would make it a hate crime to target police with violence is burgeoning at 55% nationally. People in areas which have experienced BLM violence are likely to vote for Trump! That includes previously blue cities!
Rasmussen actually balances its' polling, without emphasis on likely Democratic voters. They called the last election correctly, too.
On one hand, this news meets the needs of the MSM (who will not report this news, of course.) They always want a close election to boost ratings. On the other hand, maybe more Dem voters will just give up and stay in bed.
At this point, it's not about how much a voter loves Joe Biden - it's how much they literally hate Trump, despite all the good he has done.
Also, remember last time when the “undecided” voters almost all went for Trump? How much more do you think that applies to the hyper-partisan situation that exists in 2020?

My mom's stance exactly. I finally got her to admit the last 4 years have been pretty good. She just doesn't think Trump is a good man though and she can't vote for him. I don't argue beyond that because that's an opinion I can't change.
I'm in IL, so it's not worth pushing it further with her. Although I think the margin in IL this time around is going to be much more narrow compared to 2016. Trump won't win, but I could see cutting the margin of loss in half compared to 2016. Hence why I don't think Biden will get the popular vote. The first debate I think is going to tell us a lot. If Biden comes out aggressive as the push up guy, but can't put a sentence together he's going to look pretty stupid. I think he comes out soft and tries to make Trump look like a bully. Either way, Biden debating is a bad strategy, which is why he's not doing a whole lot right now.
And today’s poll has Trump’s approval rating up to 53%! Strongly approve at 46%! And that second number is absolute voters in his column. He could win on that alone! Gonna be a landslide, folks! Democrats already building the whinge machine, hired 600 lawyers to contest the election results, planning riots on the White House lawn... but they won’t succeed! This is going to be epic!
