""A new report confirms what many have been talking about for weeks: There is a mass exodus out of San Francisco, and the numbers are staggering.

Online real estate company Zillow released new statistics shining a stark light on the issue this week. Their "2020 Urban-Suburban Market Report" reveals that inventory has risen a whopping 96% year-on-year, as empty homes in the city flood the market like nowhere else in America.

The reason for this change is likely a combination of a few unprecedented factors that have collided this summer, resulting in a historic shift in the city.

The astronomical cost of owning a home in the San Francisco city limits — which has been sky high for over a decade now, since the second tech boom — had to break at some point, and the coronavirus seems to be the straw that broke the camel's back. The pandemic soon led to tech giants like Google, Facebook and Twitter rethinking what work looks like, as many have allowed employees to work remotely for the foreseeable future, and maybe forever.

This, combined with the fact that most entertainment venues, eateries and bars in the city have closed, has given many residents — particularly tech employees and transplants — little reason to stay..."

I think most of those other cities are just on a delayed curve and will also see a surge in listings as people realize that they don't want to live anywhere near BLM/Democratic violence and looting.

Miami may do OK because there are fewer Democrats there.

Problem is they move but keep voting the same way, fucking cancer.

They are moving back to their parents basement, wherever that might be.

Not only San Francisco, but Manhattan as well and Seattle. De Blasio it is said, wants the looting and rioting to continue in order to depress property values, so he can buy them up on the cheap and make a huge profit for himself and his family when real estate properties go up. Trump said he will win New York given how badly the Dems are handling the riots and the coronavirus.

They want to pin Trump with handling the virus poorly, but it was Gov. Cuomo who put sick people in the nursing homes that resulted in spreading the disease. How stupid do the Dems think their constituents are? Are they so dumb as to fall for this propaganda. I even caught NYT spreading this false narrative.

This is what a $1M will get you in San Antonio, Texas.

Still that's just property.

How about spending let's say $250K-$400K for a place where ppl actually know and talk to each other. Otherwise, you might as well live in a bunker and only come out for food shopping, work, and car maintenance.

SF is spending that $1M to live a bunker lifestyle.

I've moved out of my downtown Boston apartment to my paid off home in central MA. The city life (not that there is any), isn't for me anymore.

If I didn't have the golden handcuffs in Los Angeles I would be outta here in a fucking split. Wouldn't go to no purple state like Texas or Florida either. You'll be fucked in 10 years in those states. Me? Going straight State of Jefferson aka Greater Idaho and riding out the fourth turning on my farm with my family and stacks.

When the technology workers retire, some may leave because of the taxes in California.

The capital gains tax will bother those who own stocks probably.

An option is never spend your money, but what fun is that?

Probability of that happening just went from NIL to at least a single percentile digit figure

Conservatives have been mayor of New York City before. Remember Rudy Juliani? Conservatives can make a come back. It's not out of the realm of possibility.

And you can use AC to keep that place nice and cool for less than it would cost to climate control a 2Bedroom 1Bath shit shack in CA. The people are super friendly there as well, unbeknowngst to the 'person' who made the prior post.

Who the fuck is staying in Seattle? Went for the first time last summer. Didn't like it. At all. Rainer was cool, but that ain't Seattle.

When will Texas secede and abolish the Thirteenth Amendment, and give complimentary automatic weapons to all new residents, so they can REALLY be the best place to live?

Now that the children and chip-on-their-shoulder Negroes have had their run, Giuliani types must arise to restore normacly and law and order. Else, it's Hello, Baltimore!

Miami has been largely peaceful; Cubans don't like looters, and even if the Mayor responded slowly or tepidly, the Governor wouldn't give a fuck. Also, Miami Dade is the only county not allowed to entirely choose their own sheriff because of 80s Drug Smuggling Corruption.

San Diego too. Being energy shamed by some former co-workers b/c I'm using AC this weekend.

I'm not as in touch with minorities as I used to be, but I'm pretty sure hispanics of any type hate BLM and anything associated with it. Maybe a 2nd generation hispanic will go for it, but any recent border crosser than that, it's FBL.
