My kid lived upstairs in 1150 right before it was redone. Between four housemates, the rent was about $3800/mo. After the sewage backed up downstairs, the house sold again. The new "investors" paid off renters, chopped the place up it into little rooms, and are expecting $30K per month. Wild.
A year ago, there was no wrought iron gate, so there were people sleeping on the front porch all the time. My kid used to have to step over them to get out the door. Crappy neighborhood, literally; human feces on the sidewalk most days. I was thrilled when they all moved to the Richmond. I wonder how this will work out.
