Do the little dears realize they work for an unprofitable company?

Liberals don't understand the concept of making a profit.

Musk needs to pants them and pour burning lattes down their undies. That old 'office as a narcissism emporium for spoiled brats' ethos needs to end.

Something else is going on. Twitter embraced censorship and promoting propaganda. I think you are basically seeing what are essentially government workers.

Now, here's the trick, Musk is not going to change it, other than to make it more efficient. Musk has made his money off from government grants and subsidies. People that believe "Twitter is going to be free!!!" I think are being too hopeful.

Made a profit some years and some quarters:

But soon we will have no idea, since it's now private.

You might as well work your ass off at work, but that ends the SECOND you go home.

You'll at least get some knowledge and a good worth ethic out of it. I've been in modes like that several times but the second I got home, work was out of my mind although sometimes I'd fool around on the weekend on side projects related to it.

Just saw that Musk sent an email to twitter employees :

paraphrase: "If you are ready to really work hard long hours at high intensity, click the yes link below. Those who don't click will get 3 months severance"

Sounds like he's creating an environment, where the useless people will quit, rather than having to deal with the California Employment laws, over firing them.
You can fire people for being Trump supporters, but you can't fire people for being commie useless fucks.

I think it's more simple than that.

Twitter is constructed. You really only need minimal support staff to keep it running at this point.

Websites don't need 24/7 maintenance. Servers go down, bugs are found, but really, most of the employees are superfluous.

If nobody came to work for Google, Facebook, or Twitter, you wouldn't notice it. Most of what they call "bugs" are actually interference from employees fucking with the population. Think about it, what has changed on Twitter over the last 2 years? More dickish censorship, but has the site changed? The site was completed a LONG time ago, until they started fucking with people. It's just a bunch of twats fucking with the population really, as far as I can see.

I'm sure coders are working on projects, and so on, but it's a pointless effort. It's not needed.

I do again want to point out just how FUCKING powerful your shitty phone is. These are not enormously complicated systems, they don't require constant maintenance, a lot of what you see today, was done in 1995 - just has more bandwidth but at the same time, our computers are ridiculously more powerful, and storage is insanely large in comparison. I'd be drooling over a 256GB hard disk 20 years ago, now it's a $25 SD Card. A film in high quality is around 0.5 GB/s, so that works out to be about 250 hours of film, or about 125 films. You can carry that around on a keychain. For audio, it's around a YEARS worth of audio, for text, more books than any human being can read in a lifetime. The library of Alexandria? You can fit it in your pocket now, in fact, it's so fucking small, you can lose it in your couch.

Twenty Five dollars. How can you not be amazed by this?

To visualize it, imagine an Atari 2600 in 1980 versus a PS1 in 1995. We've gone the same step from 1995 to 2020. The graphics workstation I had in a computer lab in 1990, I can freaking simulate the whole thing on the worst, crappiest, phone or tablet you can buy. This will never stop blowing my mind. You have no concept of the power you hold.

HAHA sounds like 90% of remaining twitter engineers said piss off to the ulitmatum. AHAHHAAH.
