Another case of the death of a top manager associated with Gazprom. In the pool near St. Petersburg, they found the body of Yuri Voronov, the head of the company's contractor. He died from a gunshot to the head.

The body of 61-year-old Voronov was found on the territory of his site in the cottage village of Marine Terraces near the Gulf of Finland. The man was lying in the pool with a shot through his head, and law enforcement officers found a traumatic pistol nearby. To whom it belonged is not yet clear.

Yuri Voronov is the general director of the transport company Astra Shipping, which, among other things, worked on the Arctic contracts of Gazprom. According to the businessman's wife, he went to the Leningrad region on July 1, and before leaving he had a conflict with business partners due to the loss of money.

In winter, the body of Leonid Shulman, head of the Gazprom invest transport service, and then Alexander Tyulakov, who worked at Gazprom as deputy general director of the Unified Settlement Center, was found in the Leningrad Region. Interestingly, the corpses of both leaders were found in the same village near St. Petersburg - Leninsky.

In April, the bodies of Vladislav Avaev, a former vice president of Gazprombank, as well as his wife and daughter, were found in a Moscow apartment. A little later, in a similar way, the former Novatek top manager Sergei Protosenya, his wife and daughter were found dead in Spain.

It did for my wife. She's been sick more over the last year than the past decade. Nothing "bad" but every other month it seems like she has a cold. Runny nose, cough, slightly lethargic. She did it for work, which sucks, but it is what it is at this point. No boosters for sure.

Just read something posted buy a guy who claims to work for a PR firm that's covering up the spike protein shot scandal in the airlines. He said the pilots who took these shots won't get insured when the renewals go out this year. After recent travel was thinking about why the flight times are so bad now, and there are constant delays. This is true as well. Everyone will eventually die of old age, but nobody otherwise staying healthy into old age will die of covid.

Just met my new neighbor last night. Career Navy guy, but about my age I'd guess. They were going to boot him out because he wouldn't get the vaccine, so he was forced to retire. My kind of dude. I wonder how often this is happening?

Only issue I have is I think since he got out he became a copious pot smoker. I partake, but this is like an all day thing. I'll walk out to take care of the pool in the morning and it reeks of pot. Anecdotal as can be, but normally healthy people are getting sicker than I've noticed that are vaccinated. I haven't had a bad flu type illness since 2019. Everyone I know vaccinated gets a decent illness/flu/cold every 6 months or so. So basically 2-3 sicknesses since getting vaccinated. My wife never got sick before the vax, but has been about 3 times now.

If you had to take it, don't boost. Not medical advice, but I'd run for the hills at any requirements or suggestion of boosting. Covid is a mostly mundane flu bug. Unhealthy and really old people die. This is indisputable at this point. Just take care of yourself. It's not that complicated.

New Zealand COVID-19 death rate at record levels

New Zealanders are dying from COVID-19 at record rates as the country battles a new wave of the Omicron strain that is particularly affecting the older population.

Deaths from the virus reached 151 in the seven days to July 16, compared with 115 in the worst week of the previous wave, in March, according to Health Ministry data. In the latest 24 hours, 26 people died from COVID, all aged over 60, the ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The Omicron BA.5 sub-variant is driving the current wave in New Zealand, which has 5.1 million people. There have been 64,780 active cases in the past seven days, although authorities say many infections are unreported.

Once regarded as a model for preventing COVID infection, New Zealand's swift response to the pandemic and its geographic isolation kept it largely free from the virus until the end of last year.

The government dropped its zero-COVID policy this year once the population was largely vaccinated. Since then the virus has been allowed to spread.

Emergency departments, general practices and medical centres are under pressure. However, Health Ministry data shows hospitalisation levels remain below those seen during the March peak.

The government is resisting pressure from some doctors to reinstate curbs on public gatherings or mandate the wearing of masks at schools.

However, Education Ministry chief Iona Holsted said on Thursday the ministry had advised schools to enforce the wearing of masks as much as practicable when children returned from holidays next week.

"We understand that implementing mask policies can be a challenge but ask that you take action to strengthen your mask wearing policy as soon as possible," she said.
