Nor is it intended for any result other than political posturing. Newsome needs to bang the drum of AGM to blame the fires on, and deflect from failure to proper manage forests in fire ecology areas.

Gavin Newsom: King of the LibbyFuck, head in the sand, Non-Sequitur pronouncement.

'Dodge all responsibility, deny all reality, and keep raising taxes, fees, fines, and levies!"

"When in doubt, raving, deluded virtue signaling will throw them off the scent!"

Irrelevant.
California will be a smoking ember by then...

Sheesh.

The state is going broke, pension funds extorting from we Tax Donkeys, Fire Season has barely started, and like we need this right now?

Sheesh.

I work in the EV industry sort of.

First of all Nauseam won't be governor then, it's just political pandering 15 years away.

Second of all, I don't think EVs are actually realistic - at least not yet. They are a status symbol, not a solution.

Third, California doesn't have the infrastructure to charge vehicles. I'm an expert in the DIN and 15518-2 spec. It's a bunch of pure bullshit. The "architects" that wrote it have absolutely no idea what the fuck they are talking about. They are talking about having charged vehicles power the grid - there's...

Haha, are they close to perpetual motion yet?

Sweet, the stupid fucks who are buying EVs with the help of tax rebates and supplemented by carbon credit offset dollars are putting inertia behind this push. That shit needs to stop, it’s only intensifying the rabid ideologies of anti liquid fuel based transportation for the masses.

PSPS events and other unplanned outages of electricity will cripple a majority EV transportation fleet. But that they don’t care, the goal is more Fucking Control.

Pure virtue signaling. The way California is going, only the top 0.1% will be able to afford new cars in another 15 years. I'm quite sure that in 15 years I'll either be living in another state or I'll be dead.

Cannot get to work, doctors office, hospital, kids to school (hahahaha, like that will be back by 2040), parts for repair of their house, etc. The demand for large kW backup generation is going to go through the roof if people with EVs are going to want to be prepared.

Average age of a car in CA is ~12 years and going up. There are at least 2 mil of new cars sold in CA every year. Meaning that in 2040 there will be shitload of ICE cars still roaming CA roads.

Yeah.

But what about the tourism?

(pre pandemic) so many folks arrive here by air from all over the US and all over the world, rent a car and explore the state. Will the car rental agencies just keep and maintain their old cars? (maybe that's not such a bad idea anyway!)

Half of the time I rented a car in CA it had NV, AZ or WA plates. If they can do it now they will keep doing it after 2035.

"Professor" John Searl says it's right around the corner:

www.youtube.com/embed/zZ8KVzDeYaI

He's been scamming people for his entire life. What's funny, is that a ton of his early "video proofs" have been duplicated and explained. In one, he was letting a viscous fluid "float upward" - what he had actually done, was turn the camera upside down, and nail a table to the ceiling.

Imagine spending your entire lifetime, just bilking money out of people who aren't very suspicious and don't know anything about science.

He just needs a little more money to make his perpetual energy generator, even though in the 1960's he claimed his house was running on one. It was confiscated by the government of course, and now he's not able to rebuild it for some reason.

Nah, AOC has promised her supporters she would shut down ICE long before then.
44   FortwayeAsFuckJoeBiden   2020 Sep 25, 4:34pm

Let me remind you guys that we had blackouts two weeks ago because they don’t produce enough electricity. And there are 0 charge stations around.

So this ivory tower Laputian is making catastrophic decisions.

Yeah, but what you are missing is that if this were to actually happen (it won’t) gas stations will start to go out of business. Good luck filling your car.

Why would they go out of business when there will still be millions of customers willing to buy their product?
47   HeadSet   2020 Sep 25, 9:08pm

The 2035 is set far enough in the future that it is unrealistic, and just for political pandering. If Newsome really wanted to get gasoline cars off the road, or at least have less polluting cars, he would slap on an additional $2 per gallon gas tax. Then like Europe, we would have a plethora of 1 liter displacement tiny cars.

Newsom Bans Cars To Prevent People From Escaping California

SACRAMENTO, CA—In a move to prevent Californians from fleeing by the millions, Gavin Newsom announced a ban on gasoline automobiles this week.

The law will make it so that Californians can't drive away and escape the state in a matter of hours, forcing them to instead form migrant caravans and make the treacherous trek across the blistering deserts of the Southwest.

"Now, they'll have to cross the desert on foot," Newsom said as he handed down the order. "I'll show them to flee my progressive utopia! Ha ha ha ha ha!"
50   Ceffer   2020 Sep 29, 5:01pm

A commentator who left California for business purposes says he's still being charged and paying stuff years later. He said California was like herpes, it never goes away.
51   Ceffer   2020 Sep 29, 5:18pm

Newsom will edict that Californians with household incomes exceeding 140k a year will be obligated to quarter at least one illegal immigrant and one homeless person per household, determined by lottery. The lottery can be escaped by agreeing to higher tax rates.
52   Patrick   2020 Sep 29, 5:21pm

Can you get a 2 for 1 if you house a homeless illegal?
