My last car was a Civic I drove for 12 years.
Nothing pisses me off more than the crew cab pickup with a 4ft bed.

Lol. Well I have a crew cab and a 5 ft bed. Does that qualify? Granted it's on a Tacoma, not a full size. Lol.

Here in the East, good luck finding a regular cab pickup with a full sized bed at the dealers. A Ford dealer here will have 30 F-150s on the lot, and virtually all are 4 door models, and most are luxury equipped. I guess there is no demand or low profit in selling a proper work truck.
Cleaning rioters off your big truck grill. I hate that.

I drive a 2011 standard cab Ford Ranger stock model no options 6ft bed, not even power windows lol, but it's a great truck. The new Rangers are really nice though, just not small trucks anymore. Tacoma is a great truck, just you have to pay alot more for that Toyota reliability prestige. I
Chevy/gm/Nissan - I wonuldnt even take a chance on their products.
Never get a crew cab or even an extended cab, it will eat your millage and you probably won't ever use it.
If I can't fix it, I don't want it
Get an SUV with a hitch and buy a trailer. Pickup trucks don't make a ton of sense for 95% of how people use them

They maken even less sense in California because you either have to pay extra every year for comercial vehicle registration or keep a camper shell always attached. Which, pretty much turns it into an SUV.
how bad CA is
Here in IL though I don't understand how my engineless 500lbs trailer needs to be registered for $118 and my car is $150. It's a fucking trailer man. If loaded up I'm generally not running over 2k lbs gross weight. So it's not putting much if any additional stress on infrastructure as far as roads go. It used to be something like $22/yr. JB fat fuck Pritzker comes in and quadruples the shit.

That's hilarious. It's for the revenue, bro.
A $50,000+ custom SUV. Salesperson asked what kind of monthly payment the buyer was looking for. $450 was the response. Are they offering 20-year auto loans now?
