After this one I will never go to theatre to see star wars again. With all the bad reviews I went to see tlj with only my oldest son usually I would take the whole family. I saw all the originals when I was a kid and not wasting my money taking my kids for this gatbage, and I'm sure I'm not alone. 49% on rotten now and its not hackers or bots leaving long pissed off reviews like liberal news is portraying.

On IMDB, Last Jedi is ranked only above Phantom Menace (which featured Jar Jar binks), and slightly above Attack of the Clones. So it's obvious even Star Wars fans themselves are universally split on the film.

As far as I'm concerned, it's only the original Series for me. Everything else is BS. As a kid I read some of the extended universe stuff which wasn't bad. I put up with Lucas' prequels, where better dialogue and a stupid yet confused plot can be better found on a bad Daytime Soap. I assume the Disney ones are horrible.
So far from the original "Mythic Hero" set up. Should have put a real fan like Kevin Smith in charge.

I just think, for example, some feminist studies professor is doing far worse harm to our society then a movie that's watched by 80% men. 100% of women going through that professor are going to be brainwashed. For some reason they just can't seem to get this right. Why is it so hard for them, I don't know.
I can tell they are trying to push female heroes to attract young women to buy more SW branded products, but for some reason they are turning it into totally feministic crap which appeals to very few people. They are just really bad at making movies these days.
Still no movie is as good as original star wars, or the Firefly series.

I think this nails it on the head. The real reason why he was given another trilogy to do was because he did whatever Kathleen Kennedy wanted. TLJ was not a good movie by any objective standard. It was the only Star Wars movie that I've ever looked at my watch. The whole casino subplot was just absolutely awful. Talk about the dumbest/slowest chase scene ever. "Hey guys, we have the most powerful fleet in the universe following a tiny ship that can't do anything...what's the plan?...just follow behind them nice and slow..." Seriously?! How the F do you have a Star Wars movie with 0 light saber duels!?! The fight with Snoke's guards was cool, but they didn't have light sabers. Why do you ruin Luke Skywalker? F Rian Johnson! I absolutely loved Star Wars, and this movie completely ruined it going forward. I'll probably watch 9, but I have no intention of seeing anything else from Rian Johnson.

The Star Wars franchise is pandering to women. The whole point of this propaganda thread is to try and convince white working class males that their interest is better served by Republicans than by Democrats. You are trying to get white working class males to vote against their own economic self-interest by invoking feminism as the bogeyman, and Republicans and Trump as their savior.
