What websites do you use to actually conduct your transactions?

What websites do you use for research/recommendations/outlooks?

What websites do you use to make your decisions on what to buy is essentially what I'm looking for....

Do you mean buy investments? Vanguard. I pay only $2 to buy stocks, if a Vanguard ETF, it's free. To read about mutual funds, etc. Morningstar, it's free because I have a T.Rowe Price account. To read other baloney about mutual funds I recall maxfunds.com has stuff about mutual funds.
Fidelity has some articles on their website even if you are not a shareholder I think you can access them.

Other than that just using my own research and what I see. The way old man used to always say it, "if product is flying off the shelves it's a good company for investment."

You can always hire someone to manage part of your portfolio for you if you aren't comfortable with a lot of investment. There are mutual funds, all sorts of other "instruments", but I don't know much about those.

Thanks for the input, I will have to look into those.

Is anyone familiar with www.fool.com ? Seems to have some good information. Or are they just trying to sell a product?

If you were looking into Mutual funds, would there be a resource that you use for that specifically?

E*Trade and Scotttrade tend to have relatively low fees for transactions.

Plenty of sites for info, I think I mentioned Bogleheads, but there's also plenty of other stuff.

The Motley Fool has a lot of good info -- they were heavily used in the dotcom boom days and have stuck around since then. A lot of their articles have to do with individual stock investment strategies and screening stocks to determine what specific investment requirements you have.

I was a financial advisor just three years ago, but exited the business. I have been a daytrader for 12 years. I primarily use technical analysis to time long-term and short-term trades.

I predicted and greatly benefitted from the last several major swings in the market. The few clients that listened to me and ignored the financial media, did the same. I simply defied my peers and went with what the data was telling me. I find that 99.5% of the financial blogs and financial news media is useless and a waste of time.

That said, check out ibankcoin.com. Also check out thepatternsite.com and buy one of his chart pattern books to read in your spare time. Trade accordingly.

Hedge your US dollar risk by putting at least 40% of your portfolio in physical gold and primarily silver. Do not purchase precious metals ETFs. Plan to hold PMs for the next five to 20 years or so. Do not trade them or cash these out.

Also invest in agricultural property, though closely monitor the lurking environmental protections that may go into effect in an area before you purchase, as your right to use the property may be taken away from you (collectivism at work).

Ignore my advice at your own risk. I am very rarely wrong because I do my deep research and I do not follow the crowd; this includes popular blogs that have no documented trading track record.
