A ringleader of the $250 million Minnesota welfare fraud scandal has been ordered to forfeit her Porsche, diamond jewelry, Louis Vuitton bags and millions of dollars in bank accounts.

An order from a judge just before New Year's Eve was the latest ignominy for Aimee Bock, 44, who prosecutors declared was behind one of the biggest fraud schemes of the pandemic era.

The vast majority of the more than 57 people so far convicted in the case are part of Minnesota's Somali community - Bock is not - and the case has exploded onto the national stage.

On Monday, Minnesota governor Tim Walz announced he would not run for a third term after it happened 'on my watch' and admitted 'the buck does stop with me.'

In a preliminary court order, reviewed by the Daily Mail, Bock was ordered to forfeit $3,506,066 seized from a Bank of America account in the name of her nonprofit Feeding Our Future, along with $179,455 in a personal account.

She was also ordered to give up her Porsche Panamera, around 60 laptops, iPads and iPhones found at three addresses, along with a diamond necklace, bracelet, earrings and her Louis Vuitton purse and backpack.

Bock was found guilty in March after a six-week trial on charges of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bribery, and conspiracy to commit federal program bribery.

She is being held in Sherburne County Jail in Minnesota, awaiting sentence.

The Minnesota child care fraud saga is so strange because years ago it was fully investigated, documented, and reported on by a team of state investigators set up to catch and stop child care fraud.

They spent years gathering evidence including many hours of surveillance footage. In 2018 they compiled a detailed report and delivered it to their boss, the DHS Inspector General.

Directly from the report: "Investigators, as well as the Supervisor and Manager of this unit believe that the overall fraud rate in this program is at least 50% of the $217M paid to child care centers in CY2017."

What did the Inspector General do with this information? She refused to meet with her own team, refused to discuss the findings of the report, and then spent $90,000 of taxpayer money to have an outside company write a report saying the fraud isn't quite as bad as her own team of investigators was claiming.

The real question is how highly paid state investigators spent years investigating child care fraud in MN, reported on said fraud, and eight years later not only was the fraud not stopped, it was bigger than ever.

According to officials with the Department of Homeland Security, agents have identified Transportation Security Administration detections totaling roughly $136 million in bulk cash moving through John Glenn Columbus International Airport since November 2023.

Homeland Security officials told Just the News that TSA officers repeatedly flagged U.S. citizens of Somali origin departing Columbus with large amounts of declared cash packed into checked luggage.

The travelers were typically bound for Minneapolis or Atlanta.

From there, investigators believe the money followed a familiar and now-alarming route.

“Typically, when they go to Minneapolis, they drop off the cash and then a subsequent courier travels abroad from Minneapolis to Dubai through Amsterdam,” one official involved in the probe said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Federal agents now believe the Columbus operation is just one spoke feeding a much larger wheel of a national cash-movement network pulling money from Somali communities across the West, Midwest, and South before consolidating it in Minneapolis and exporting it overseas.

That suspicion is backed by staggering numbers.

TSA data reviewed by investigators shows nearly $700 million in cash leaving Minneapolis-area airports during 2024 and 2025 alone, frequently destined for Amsterdam and onward to Dubai, where U.S. authorities largely lose visibility.

Officials said the amounts moved through Minnesota dwarfed cash detections at major international hubs like JFK, Seattle, or Atlanta by 90 to 99 times.

Despite routine TSA flags during the Biden administration, officials acknowledged there was little appetite to aggressively pursue the money trail until President Donald Trump returned to office.
