On November 28, Hong Kong’s Secretary for Security, Tang Ping-keung, said at a press conference that the fire in Tai Po, Hong Kong, had resulted in 128 fatalities and 79 injuries.

Latest update: The Hong Kong Fire Services Department has reported that the fire has resulted in 75 deaths and 76 injuries, including 11 firefighters.
Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) regained control of Hong Kong in 1997, within just 25 years, Hong Kong has fallen from being Asia’s economic powerhouse and a free port to a city with the highest crime and murder rates. It has become a hellish place where the CCP frequently targets brave young students protesting for freedom, including cases of murder, arrests of pro-democracy activists from the Umbrella Movement and Occupy Central protests, and transporting them via train to mainland China—none of whom have returned alive to tell their stories.
Hong Kong is under the CCP’s oppressive rule, characterized by abuse of power, corruption, negligence, cost-cutting measures, and the use of highly flammable and dangerous building materials. This disaster is yet another human rights tragedy following the brutal persecution of the Umbrella Movement and Occupy Central protests. The root cause of the fire in Hong Kong is the dereliction of duty by the CCP’s Hong Kong administration, which has led to this massacre.
