The staffers are given the talking points. They don't read it and then the Congress critter doesn't read it. Basically no one is reading, no filters. Congress critters then go to dinner, wine and dine and crash. Some stock tips thrown in.

My wife does the wine and dine with government as a vendor. 11am hits most are generally done working. She's in Champaign, IL (University of IL) now and will drink and lunch or golf her way home with clients, which most have become friends, but all government workers for the most part.

I think some people have an idea, but living it is way different. These people don't work. They hang out. It's not work. To be blunt if I wasn't making a ton of money off it, I'd be irate. I'm fine with it. Because I pay for it. People that don't pay for it and see the government lifestyle just don't understand.

It's the do nothing federal workers that need to go. Hoping DOGE is serious but I want to see sources and real data. Not buying any of it yet. Don't know a single person that got shit canned and I know a lot of do nothing workers.

The tweeted videos, ironically posted to Elon Musk’s X by at least 22 senators, each used identical scripts, TikTok microphone props, and interstitial videos to unpersuasively argue that President Trump is exacerbating Bidenflation. Each video began with the same clip of Trump promising to “bring prices down starting on day one” before cutting to the senators, who childishly, unprofessionally, and obscenely dismissed Trump’s claim as “s--- that ain’t true,” before reciting the exact same words.

“Since day one of Trump’s presidency, prices are up, not down,” each senator says in their cookie-cutter videos. “Inflation is getting worse, not better,” they all intoned in dark unison.

You could not ask for a better example of the dearth of independent thought in today’s dissolving Democrat party. The social media response was brutal.

That awful spectacle was then followed by Democrats’ sullen attendance behavior at the Joint Address, where the progressive party refused to stand or applaud even to honor the ordinary citizens invited to the event by the GOP. The sullen strategy, if you can call it a strategy, fell on its face.
