#weaponized drones Today I want to talk about drones. Some of us own them. They are fun to fly. They can give a drone owner a whole new perspective on life. Drones make television news more effective. The list of the positive things drones can do could go on for pages.
The Ukraine war has shown that drones can also be devastating weapons. Major Russian ships have been sunk or badly damaged with hundreds of Russian sailors killed or wounded. Tanks and other military vehicles have been destroyed in massive numbers by drones. Many soldiers have died because of drone strikes. Likewise, sadly, many civilians have died due to drone strikes. Drones are showing themselves to be very dangerous and effective weapons. They are generally cost-effective and cheap to manufacture.
Long before the Ukraine war started in February 2022, a visionary film company came out with a movie in 2019 titled "Angel Has Fallen." Here is a link to the film:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6189022/?ref=nm_flmg_t_16_act

Please have a look at the link. Please find the film and have a look at it over the weekend. It is most thought-provoking. In the film, a small group of elite former special operations soldiers hired by some unknown person or organization decides to affect a regime change in the US. While the president of the United States (Played by Morgan Freeman) is on a rural lake on a fishing trip, a swarm of small drones is launched in the direction of the president's fishing boat. Despite all the Secret Service protection and advanced scouting work, the President of the US barely avoids death as a swarm of drones attacks him. A very brave and skilled Secret Service agent played by Gerard Butler pushes the president deep underwater and saves his life barely.
Drone technology and deadliness have improved in the 4 years since this movie came out. The moral of this story is that no one in the world is safe from a small and determined group who understands drone technology and is determined to use it. Drone technology will always stay "one step ahead" of the best defensive measures. Artificial Intelligence will only make it worse. Please reflect on this!

Yes, we should all be concerned about fantasy situations that appear in mainstream movies. That's far more important than standing up for the rights and freedoms articulated in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

You go, ohomenbot.

Weaponized Drones are a spot of bother when you have Hot Cheetos.

Weaponized drones have been around since German V1 of WW2 fame. Radio controlled model planes have been a hobby venue for decades.

If one has ex-military men and access to such military grade equipment, why not just fire at the Presidents fishing boat with a small howitzer mounted on another boat 5 miles away?

Yep, not even nuclear strategic bombers deep inside Soviet terrotory:

PS. It's a Tu-22M in case you are not practiced at recognizing flaming wrecks by nose cones.

Gee, what happened?

I don't remember anything like that happening in the heart of Moscow prior to 02/24/22...

Shotgun is effective to about 40 yards. A drone which drops hand grenades will be higher than that. An FPV kamikaze drone flies so fast and low you would be hard pressed to detect and hit it in time. And if we're talking biggigish kamikaze drones like that Iranian Shahed employed by the Reds it carries someting like 100lbs of explosives and you need something way more substantial than that mighty birdshot-loaded "ultimate people stopper".

So the US government is going to target me specifically? Doubtful. My drone encounters will likely be limited to civilian types, and what I mentioned will work just fine.

But if you were meditating on how to defend against our government attempting to attack us with drones, I'd say the simple solution is go to the source. Ratheyon offices and bases where they fly those things from. We outnumber them at least 100,00 to 1.

Again, you are not paying attention to what is going on in the biggest war since 1945: soldiers are routinely being hit in their trenches and armored vehicles with hand grenages dropped from commercial drones like DJI Mavic and such.
Government won't go specifically after you - you are an ant to them, but this is moving the goalposts. It started from a guy with shotgun being supposedly safe from drones and this is simply not the case. The best protection from drones is EW, not silly birdshot.

The goal post is what's in the title of the OP, that I'm not safe, as I am "someone". Obviously that fear-mongering title is inaccurate when it comes to me. But if you read the OP, the point seems to really be that a group of people deciding to take someone out will be hard to stop. Why they're apparently fine with centralized military power, but afraid of de-centralized power is beyond me, other than they are brainwashed, or in the group trying to maintain power(government). I think it's great that a group of Americans can get together and oppose tyranny with the threat of drones, just like it's great to own AR 15's. We need the threat of force to maintain our freedom, this post is written by someone with a slave mentality.

BTW, no one uses birdshot for self-defense, that's a ridiculous assertion.

Oh, you must be new here. (Hint: head to the 2nd Amendment thread and get your lulz on the subj) =))

Yes they do. If somebody is breaking into your home, and you use birdshot on them, they're not going to continue breaking into your home.

The advantage of birdshot is you don't have to worry about accuracy so much.

Also, you don't risk blowing through your and your neighbor's drywall and whatever else is in the way (#2 buckshot magnums, I'm looking at you).

As long as the fire pattern covers the face, that will do just fine. Nothing like a little blinding to slow the thugs down.

i wonder why ohomen posted this. what’s coming in weeks or month?

I got confused there for a second. I thought the article about not coming into the office was going to be a parody about the US government telling workers not to go into the office in San Francisco.

First, all shotgun ammo is in the form of balls/pellets, so it's always going to spread given enough distance. Second, the whole push to pussy guns and ammo is asking for trouble. 9mm are extremely weak compared to 40 or even 45. When I cock my 12 gauge, if they keep coming, I don't want just fucking birdshot in there. The only reason I still like the 9 I have is my daughter and wife can easily load and shoot it.

Yes, because every video is always fresh and live and can't be recorded earlier. =))
