Media, social media and government are all generally negative. Jealousy is also a huuuuuuuuuuge human condition that causes this shit. I'm pretty sure in this case, given the location, this was jealousy over not being rich like all the people at the parade. With a side of some mental illness that was never addressed because his parents/guardians were likely trash. Of all things in life, no one teaches you how to be a parent. We push people to education/college, yet don't actually teach anyone the real life skills they'll need.

His parent(s) owned a Deli and Convenience Store, he wasn't poor. His father ran for mayor as a small business owner.

Eh, those aren't high margin operations. Maybe the real estate had value, but I'd guess it was leased given the businesses.

Also, losers run for mayor or village president all the time. Political people are narcissists. It doesn't mean they're wealthy or smart. In fact that's probably a contributing factor in the outcome because of his father.

Highland Park is über wealthy. We're not talking $200k/yr of income. It's one of the wealthiest parts of IL. You need big bucks to even be in that area. Like I said, jealousy is likely the issue given he attacked the community in the way he did. I'll find out more. I've for sure got boots on the ground that can give me details since this happened relatively close. And the wife has IL and WI as regions for sales with government. Might get more info by tomorrow.

I'm not bloviating. My wife is a big deal in IL & WI. We know a shitload of people. Knowing the area I can promise you it was a failure of parenting and the young man being jealous. Probably a loser in school as well. This is a classic case of a nerd going ape shit on the people he despises. Rich people at a parade. It's not political regardless of what is put out there. I might be wrong, but having dealt with a loser on PCP in Glencoe (wealthy neighboring community) my theory should be correct.

I'm pretty sure he was just nuts. The family also owned the house he lived in and several other properties, so between the businesses and real estate - both in a high net worth area - I'm sure they were Upper Middle Class at least. He also had no job but high value A/V production equipment, multiple computers, cameras, etc.

I'm 50, I have to admit I had no idea what a footjob was until Hunter Biden. Not my cup of tea. I consider Hunter Biden a slut, not a "player", but a slut. He's so pathetic.

Jordan Peterson has said that most people are lucky they aren't rich, because once you get to that point, your own random desires and wants will destroy you as you sink into the depths of your own depravity. I think that's correct.

Age 25 to have a gun.

As long as it applies to people joining the military, I'm in favor of this.

Fine to let kids to join the military at 18, but no deployment until they are 25 and allow them to quit at 25.

I think that would end a lot of these stupid wars.

You're making my point. They were middle class in a very high net worth area. Likely was picked on growing up as the poor kid. Poor is a relative term depending on where you are. We all look like billionaires compared to someone living in Guatemala. If you're not rolling in a BMW or similar in that neck of the woods you're poor. The kids are ruthless, trust fund yuppies up there.

Also I've owned multiple properties at once. It's not difficult with debt. Same with the computers and cameras. You can get a CC with a $10k limit at almost any bank today and get some nice equipment easy. Who knows if that was a contributing factor. Fact is you just don't go nuts at 22. Something else happened in his past or was happening in his life. May even be categorized as a hate crime at some point given the large Jewish population in the area.

Obviously a disturbed individual willing to shoot people, but there are generally layers to this type of shit. At his age it was probably poor parenting and feeling less than his peers who were rolling around in a Porsche or something doing blow off chicks tits. That is this type of area for real. Near the governors neighborhood which is why he has his parachute sized underpants in a knot over this.

Also as NDrLoR mentions, medications likely played a factor in this. The headquarters of Abbott Labs (big pharma) is located just to the North. So you have a bunch of high paid white collar families in the industry likely pushing what they're working on drug wise. That whole north shore of Chicago to Wisconsin is rich drugville central.

My guess is poor parenting and getting picked on in an affluent suburb. Besides real estate values, you don't get rich owning a convenience store that likely is leased.

Good question. It doesn't make much sense. Why a gun? A car would have been substantially more efficient if I'm thinking darkly. It was a parade on a road. I don't think killers are obviously all that intelligent though. *Not promoting stuff like this, just stating the obvious.

Are we too quick to diagnose and medicate these days or is it the opposite, not enough people are being diagnosed and medicated?

I think that question starts with the understanding that more people are being diagnosed and medicated than ever before

But is our society causing more people to need diagnosis and medication than ever before?

We over medicate for profits. This is 100% true. Unruly 10 year old Billy punched a kid. He needs medicine for that now. I'm a firm believer that the medicine is worse than what the outcome would have been naturally.

Or in an extreme case a micro dose of shrooms or small dose of weed like 1-2mg would be better. Instead we pump kids full of shit that 99.9% of us have zero clue what it is or does because we've never had it. I'll never put something into my kids body that I haven't had unless it was for cancer or disease I've never had. Dosing a kid on some medicine you've never had yourself is dangerous in my opinion.

I don't disagree. It's not a fathomable act. Even for those that are disgruntled. You die or end up in prison for life in these situations. I'd expect more from a retard to be honest. It either was forced or someone is that mentally ill that no one noticed. Tough to decide what it was either way.

Crimo threatened his family with a sword, police responded and siezed it, in April 2019.

In September 2019 he threatened suicide, almost 20 knives taken from him (he wasn't poor).

Repeal the LPS laws state-by-state.

If you think that medical/psychiatric help can fix “mental illness” then I will ask the obvious question: are there more mentally ill people now as a percentage of the population than there were 100 years ago? Or are there just more people in general with no moral compass and no hope for a brighter future?

Our society is not building respect for human life, and there is little to indicate that things are going to improve, in fact if you think America (the idea of America as land of free and home of the brave) will ever rise to the heights attained by the previous generation then you must have cracked into Ceffer’s stash of Hopium. Until we start to value human life and human liberty above profits and sexual deviants we are digging our own graves.

Have an uncle who's lived in Highland Park forever. My aunt and cousin where at the parade, neither was hurt.

Have we established what meds he was on, and which three letter agency coached him?

Depends on where the ladder was located.
