Former President Barack Obama was hammered for what critics say was a tone-deaf post linking the deadly school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, to the two-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder.

The former president shared the message on Twitter Wednesday in the wake of the massacre at Robb Elementary School that killed 19 children and two fourth-grade teachers.

“As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer.” Obama tweeted. “His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.”

As authorities in Texas were identifying the victims of the slaughter and reckoning with its aftermath, some critics slammed Obama for also invoking the death of Floyd, who was murdered by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin during an arrest on May 25, 2020.

Seth Dillon, the CEO of the right-wing news publication The Babylon Bee, tweeted sarcastically: “It sucks those kids died, but remember George Floyd? He’s who I’m still thinking about.” — Barack Obama.”

Emanuel Rincon, editor-at-large at the conservative Latino publication El American, wrote: “The families of more than 20 people (mostly children) killed yesterday do not deserve this disrespect.”

Barrington Martin II, a former congressional candidate from Georgia, bristled at Obama’s seemingly conflating the school shooting with Floyd’s murder.

“Those babies were truly innocent, he wasn’t. Let’s not put them in the same sentence of a man who’s untimely death was used to unleash a summer’s worth of chaos in the name of faux social justice,” he tweeted, referring to the months of protests that broke out after Floyd’s death.

Woke Princeton Cancels Tenured Professor
For the high crime of criticizing its new woke agenda in a public manner.

Pathos and unbridled emotional responses, being the religious conviction of the wokesters, has led the harpies at Princeton University to oust tenured professor Joshua Katz. His crime? Disagreeing with the open letter that faculty and staff wrote to the Princeton administration in response to the death of George Floyd.

In July 2020, Professor Katz wrote an op-ed wherein he defended his opposition to signing the letter. He stated that while there are several demands in the letter with which he agreed, there are others that he adamantly opposed. His fear, should all these demands be met, is that it “would lead to civil war on campus and erode even further public confidence in how elite institutions of higher education operate.” ...

Katz is not the first professor to fall victim to the woke mob, and he certainly won’t be the last. His story is that of a grave miscarriage of justice, another example of free speech being silenced, and a loss of a good teacher.

Princeton is still considered a prestigious Ivy League school. It counts former presidents among its alumni. It has now fallen victim to the “anti-racist” ideology that pollutes everything it touches. The university has sacrificed this well-loved professor on its woke altar. How far the great have fallen.

The whole point of tenure is to allow a teacher to speak their mind without consequence.

There is no tenure now.

The whole point is once a person reached a certain level of education, regardless of what they did, they couldn't be removed. It was to allow them complete intellectual freedom. It's not a perfect system, but it's a pretty good one. They could propose the most outrageous beliefs that they wanted, but be sidelined by the professional and intellectual community, teach shit courses, and be worthless - the point of tenure was that after they went through the shit show manure fest of getting there, they could do whatever they wanted and some of them were worthless, but some of them were true intellectuals - that was the point of the shit show. They could advance the field by making proposals and ideas that were far out there and wide ranging, and the WORST that would happen to them is they would be embarrassed by being shown to be wrong.

Tenure no longer exists.

I went to the University at Buffalo, not a college, a UNIVERSITY - I had plenty of tenured professors. I had a professor that required us to buy a book, that had NOTHING to do with the course. He didn't even teach, we went to the TA sessions for that, and eventually, people who realized what was going on, just skipped his class and attended the TA sessions. He didn't teach at all. He was totally tenured.

He'd give out problems for the class to solve problems he had contracts to do. How to detect a speeding car? Well, the winner was a piezoelectric detector and using an EEPROM lookup table to calculate speed running on a clock. Not as fancy as a radar detector, but cheap to make and easy to deploy. We were all interns doing a job he signed up for, and having 60 students do his company's job.

It's just the usual coercion using lawfare, while knowing what they are doing is completely wrong.

Pressure from the old and new fiat monies from above create wrongful policy enforcements that cause the victims to sue and wait for tedious and expensive legal outcomes. Apparently, the proximate threat from the subversive Globalist donors is much more pressing to the cowardly administrators of the universities than doing the moral or ethical thing, or living up to the contracts they have with their staffs.

The fiat thing is highly characteristic in the government as well, where they tell their puppets to legislate illegal and unconstitutional shit and worry about the fallout later.

I trust more the black guy in a wheel chair pushing himself backwards with his feet through an intersection, rolling past car doors with his collection cup.
You've seen the guy, when the light turns green he wheels himself over to the curb, then stands up and walks over to the corner store with his booty.
