Fuck Russia. They have bullied their neighbors for a long time and should have given up everything that they took in 1939 as condition for US aid in WW2. Maybe if Russia gives back what it took from Finland and evacuates Königsberg, then maybe something involving small portions of Ukraine where everyone is Russian can be worked out.

I'm curious what @Bd6r thinks about this. I'm pretty ignorant about the topic however I have heard that we told the Russians we wouldn't move NATO East when the USSR broke up in the 90s - which is what Putin claims to be pissed off about in the video.

This is false and debunked by the man who negotiated the whole thing - Gorbachev. He said on video that the only condition was "no new troops in Eastern Germany" and it was 100% fullfilled. According to him the question of NATO never expanding eastward was never discussed and no promises of this kind was ever made. Putin lies, pure and simple.

I'm not sure what you are going here, but I was pointing out that the US fought WW2 pretty much to facilitate Soviet expansion.

Look, the United States is risking nuclear war in order to try to prevent Russia from exporting oil resources to Europe, thereby making Europe a defacto vassal of the United States. That's all this shit is about. It's why the US overthew Ukraine in 2014, it's why there were false flags in Syria to make an excuse for war there. The United States is attempting to mine the oil resources of the Golan to run an energy pipeline to Turkey. Who cares?

We have so many problems inside our borders, another big problem at our southern border, failing states very close to home like Honduras and Haiti, narcos running amok in Mexico. Failing state Venezuela not so far either. These countries' problems are our problems, and they weaken us more than if the borders around Russia shift, or Germany buys Russian gas or whatever.

If the past 5 years haven't alerted anybody to the fact that we have a serious problem with a Domestic Insurgent Technocracy trying to eliminate the Constitution, create a Corporate Commie/Left Fascist State, and eliminate BOTH the 1A and 2A, I don't know what to say.

And no, the border situation is why we can't chew gum and walk at the same time. Priority one is taking over the opposition party, Priority two is taking power and fixing American, THEN we'll expend resources abroad. In that order.

True for Ukraine, but true for Russia as well. Millions of middle class Russians now live in Baltics, Finland, Poland, Turkey, Czechia etc. Russian Far East is colonized by Chinese. Kind of general retreat of Europeans westwards. BTW Poland had 2 -3 million Ukrainians BEFORE war, and they assimilated easily fue to simimar culture, language, and religion. Now it is prob 6 million.
