Another example of why mixing ecstasy, cocaine, quaaludes, LSD and fentanyl is best left for the office.

I don't understand why people cannot have fun responsibly. Ruins it for those that can. At my age I like my beer, but cannot stand when guys get drunk and want to fight or do something stupid. Or girls get all ghetto and bitchy. Just have some drinks and chill.

I do have to say the best feeling drug I've ever taken is LSD. Never done coke or heroin as those are obviously addictive and will eventually kill you if you get hooked. I'll never do it again, but the few times I took LSD, it was amazing. Being honest when I say everyone should try it at least once.

I can't imagine going to a Jam Band concert today. I bet they are chocked full of Libtards, and mean spirited jackasses.
I started noticing the difference in the new head's demeanor around the time Jerry Garcia died. Not the amicable cool people from before. It was like you were at a concert with everyone there was your kindred spirit. It went from that to lots of people were only there, because they heard they could get some good drugs. Lots of them didn't even like the music, and were mocking the old hippies and heads. It was like Jocks, Preppeis and Greasers, invading the Head scene. It went from one big family, to a scene of Strangers. Not outgoing friendly people you never met, so keep to yourself and don't talk to people you don't know.

I saw enough at Phis and Rat Dog shows, they just weren't the same cool people.

I never went to see the Dead without Jerry, and without Phil Lesh it seems even more wrong. It's like how many times can you go watch Warren Hayes, Derek Trucks, or John Mayer, try on Jerry's oversized shoes? It just never seemed like the same vibe, add the new class of Jamband audience, and didn't seem like anything I would be interested in.

I loved Acid back in the day as well. But I would never try Acid today on a bet.
I doubt there's anyone that is still making authentic LSD, no telling what people are taking.
Just like there's no real Coke anymore, and how most drugs are synthesized with varying amounts of Fentanyl, and other bad stuff.

Funny how Drugs have turned into the dangerous poison the Squares used to say it all was. There were dangers in doing to much drugs, but the biggest reason people did them anyway. Was because they didn't die the first time they tried it, they had a blast. The real danger was losing yourself in drugs. Today, you're literally playing Russian Roulette every time you take almost any street drug even weed, is tainted today.

They guy was probably high on rat poison, someone told him was good doses.

We partied with Phil Lesh at Bonaroo. Mushrooms were consumed. Probably better now, but was one of the worst run festivals I've been to. People shitting on top of shit over flowing from the porta potties.

Summer camp here in Chillicothe, IL was always a blast until it got too big. We played some small tent stage the last year we went. I agree with the sentiment about the people though. I went to the first one and my last one about 5 years later was exponentially different. I'll still hit up an Umhrey's McGee show or maybe Moe. The people are frankly idiots though now.

It's more about drugs and not music. Maybe I'm in the transition phase to geezer. I like about 6 beers and maybe a puff and just watch a show for 3 hours. I try to hit Red Rocks for a show every other year. This last time (June) it was just different. As you mention 10# I think people are just high as fuck on laced up drugs. Even in 2017 my buddy took some Molly he got at Red Rocks. Ended up sick as fuck and left the show. We found him at the car puking. Could have been elevation sickness as well. Altitude doesn't age well from my experience.

What a fool, too bad.

I thought you needed drugs for the Grateful Dead. The old joke was you better make sure your drugs last for the whole event or the music will start to suck.

What's the worse thing you can do to an old hippie: make him attend a Grateful Dead concert sober.
