Every Airline has been dealing with severe IROPs. This is not OK. Its more than stress level 10. I never thought I would see “urged to change out of uniform” I understand travelling is stressful but this is not okay.

We flew Spirit ONCE. They nickel and dime you for every little thing. Five dollars extra if you want the cabin pressurized.

I won't fly Spirit or Frontier again unless I am forced to. There is little to no seat recline. You're packed in like Sardines. Environment feels suffocating and dirty. Not because of the sanitation or cleanliness but because of the vibrations coming from the passengers. No thanks. I'll pay more.

Southwest is considered a low cost airline. Their prices are higher when searching, but stay the same after you book the ticket. I've done Frontier and Spirit in the past, and they are a bit shady about bags and other costs and boarding processes if you don't pick a seat. I didn't have a bad experience, but their seats are most definitely shitty and most the time I ended paying more than I would with Southwest or the other majors like American/Delta/United.

I'm either flying free on SW or flying first class on probably the three major domestic airlines, including as far south as the equator in this hemisphere. I'm done with Spirit or Frontier now that SW flies to Bozeman. Anywhere else I'd want to fly SW as they service locations I want to go.

I can't remember if it was frontier or spirit but my company booked me on super cheap flight through them once. Plane was horrible looking and had most blown out uncomfortable seat that made my back hurts for a day. Had a connection and a delay. Left Philadelphia at 4pm and arrived at LAX at 5am. Sent nasty letter to HR and told them putting me in FedEx same day box would have been better. And after all the OT from flying they would have saved money sending me on the concord.

I won’t take spirit or frontier over anywhere southwest flies by simple virtue of number of flights southwest does out of lax. One gets cancelled, you still have a number of chances at another flight that day. Same thing with Hawaiian airlines out of lax.

That said, I see lack of reclining as nothing but a positive. I’m not a huge guy but I’m not tiny and on our flight to Honolulu in June AND on the way home, the old biddies in the seat in front of me fully reclined after meal service and it was our fucking torture. I had zero room to move and had to grossly contort my body to get up to use the restroom. You can bet I bashed the hell out of those seats when I returned, intentionally waking both those morons up. I should have done it more.

I think daily users here know I'm a Southwest guy. I actually would do Frontier and pay for the bigger seats. Their points program is trash though. I'm also in the midwest so I can get coast to coast in 4 hours or less including Mexico and the Caribbean. Frontier is layover land from Chicago. Usually Denver.

Haven't researched it enough but Southwest now does Europe and I can use points with Iceland Air. Note I have zero fucking interest in going to Europe. Just an option and it would be free with international fees attached on.

With 2-4 hour max flights, it's really not a big deal with small seats or reclining. I just get up and ask for as many beers as they're allowed to give me before they start serving. Some FA's will give me 5, but usually it's two. I won't drink them all, but just throw the extras in my backpack and put them in the fridge at the house or hotel.

We don't drive when we arrive 9 out of 10 times. So we'll get hammered. Not in a puking way, but we have more than we usually would. Only have puked once and passed out 2 times total on vacation out of about 100 or so. I did shit on one vacation and my SIL puked in the hallway because it smelled so bad... lol. I was legit making fun of her that she was weak. She's this tough little chick, ghetto (nephew mom). I'm like my shit just made you puke? Not making this up.

You guys get to hear a lot of my stories. I will ghostwrite an autobiography at some point. You cats get 20-25% of the free content for now.

Flown all 3. Southwest is the best. Biased as I don't pay for flights only the fees which are $11.40pp. International fees vary. Everyone has to pay that anyway though. United, American and Delta are all the same in economy. I could fly Delta to Tampa, FL and for a family of 5 in business or first, comfortable seats for a 2 hour flight it would be $3-4k rt. Economy would still be $1,500-2k. I'll take $57 for a family of 5.

Basically economy is all the same on any airline. Southwest if you're a CC user is the best one by a long shot. Just have to be responsible paying it off.

Currently sitting on $10-15k of flights value wise via points. Tax free. 5-6 trips for a family of 5 that is just domestic would cost about $342 total. Total means 6 round trip flights for 5 people TOTAL.

I don't fly over oceans, so another airline doesn't fit my needs and their point systems are trash. I'll get to Puerto Rico, Mexico San Diego, Denver, Bozeman or Phoenix, all of them with 5 people for $342. A little higher for MX. Probably $580 total.
