Birth control was basically illegal until the 1940s. I don't think anything that two consenting ADULTS do is worthwhile to be banned even though sadism and masochism both disgust me and I view those partnerships as two mentally ill people. These are victimless crimes, and you might disagree with that on a technicality, but two (or perhaps more) people are doing what they want, leave them alone, as long as it's adults doing it consensually. I think we'd be better off if heroin, cocaine, crack, DMT, and LSD were legal, but frowned upon. The US government is doing most of the illegal drug trade anyhow, and if you disagree with this - you're just wrong. CIA has been dealing drugs for my entire life, and I'm 50.

I really can't see the mechanism of anal sex leading to cancer, unless spermatozoa actually does that. You'd have to see a correlation to people engaging in anal sex versus people who don't to establish a cause and effect. The male homosexual community also engages in a LOT OF HIGH risk behaviors. I don't know a single gay man that hasn't used some pretty serious drugs.

The problem is that rather than society taking the position that homosexuals should be protected under the same laws as everyone else, it’s been taken way too far with campaigns that homosexuality should be celebrated and promoted.

Although I believe that homosexuals should be protected under the same laws as everyone else and have the same opportunities as everyone else, I disagree that the lifestyle should be promoted and celebrated.

The high rate of disease, high rate of suicide, and high rate of promiscuity/deviance should never be promoted or celebrated.

And where the war declaration happens is when it’s pushed on children.

Also, just because I disagree with your lifestyle, doesn’t mean I hate you. I can wish the best for you, do business with you, and still disagree with your lifestyle.

One thing I do respect about the Church establishment (minus a small % of phony progressive churches) is that they generally don’t waiver on their position concerning homosexuality.

There's a book called The Wanting Seed which was written by Anthony Burgess - it's a future dystopia where Earth's resources are at their limit so homosexuality is promoted - then a blight takes over the world causing a massive starvation which absolutely decimates the population. Basically, the concept of homosexuality was promoted to limit the human population and at the end of the book when the population has been decimated, homosexuality becomes frowned upon.

Seems like that promotion of homosexuality is to reduce population.

I don't see a reason to promote homosexuality as "positive" or even "superior" other than to bring children into the fold. I largely regard it as a sexual fetish.

I don’t get the logic in that sexual abuse turns someone gay… especially if it was same gender abuse. Plenty of women their abuse from men made them more interested in women… so shouldn’t it be similar for boys. I guess if it was often enough a weird fetish could develop…. But it’s kind of obvious if you take a room full off 5 year olds and compare there personalities… a good portion of the boys would portray less masculine qualities than others. My BIL is a somewhat traditional semi-machismo guy. One of their sons was obviously gay from like age 8. Must have been tough for him growing up in that house, as he left abruptly and bounced around aimlessly in his late teens. The oldest "straight" son was treated like a Golden Child, and he grew up to be a slothful lazy fuckup, who lucked into marrying a fat but pretty sharp (for HIM) woman. The last time I saw that side of the family was when they had broken ties but still passive-aggressively invited us all to a wedding party/baby shower. Everyone one by one greeted me with "I'm surprised you came!" I returned the passive aggressiveness by massively overestimating the string length to go around the pregnant bride's belly. (Who the fuck thought that game up?!?) Then innocently stood there in the face of everyone's anger going, "PI r squared... so 6.28 times mutter mutter..." The gay son was not in attendance that day, and their big hetero celebration day was an absolute clusterfuck tbh.

Seriously? You must not have kids. Everything shapes them and influences them. Even the slightest of things. My kids attitude is a mirror image of mine. And it was enforced mostly by females, the grandmother/mother/aunt would never let a 17-year old Sicilian girl go to the market without adult females or at least a bevy of siblings and cousins to look after (and report back). Ireland, Germany, England, the Pale, Castille, anywhere, every ethnic group in Europe was like that.

Courtship could never take place without family members in attendance, either an outing accompanied by relatives or inside the girl's home.

I don't see why people allow television in their home.

It's just crazy that people allow this at this point. The inventor of television himself, Philo Farnsworth, wouldn't allow it in his home. He created the device for education, and it's got PRECIOUS little education on it. I used to like PBS as a kid, but it was few and far between you'd get real information. Nova as good at home, and so was Frontline but that ended by 2000.

You are flat out wrong on this. I’m not gonna comment as to my personal experience for now as it puts me out more than I’d like…you guys get that show in about 10 years…

But I will say find a phsychologist, a cop, a juvenile court judge, or a social worker that works with children and ask them what happens when children are sexually abused.

Males frequently become gay, and those that don’t have substantial sexual issues with women well into adulthood if not for their entire live. Females frequently act out sexually as adults, engaging multiple partners, having difficulty forming relationships and so forth. Your local strip club is likely a petri dish of women who were abused as children or whose parents were addicts.

I dont think I can emphasize this point strongly enough….child sexual abuse is waaaaayyyy more prevalent than most people in the US know. It’s ridiculously prevalent in lower income neighborhoods and especially in foster homes. Children that are victims of child sexual abuse literally have their lives altered from the experience…that’s how strong the trauma is…children that are victims frequently become perpetrators…and IWOG was a fucking evil asshole for advocating adult male relations with female children as young as 12-13 years old.
