It's a show that features 11 year old girls in sexual outfits and dances. The judge who nominated it for an award at Sundance was arrested for pedophilia. I made sure to select other for the reason and tell them exactly why I cancelled. If you decide to cancel for the same reason, please share your feedback with Netflix as well. I think it's important they know how incensed their attempted mainstreaming of pedophilia makes decent parents feel.

Yes, I am aware that some outlets have attempted to portray this as a big mix-up with a French film. Bottom line, as a parent, there's certain subjects I won't get within 10 feet of because I don't ever want to be mistaken as encouraging them. And especially in light of recent revelations, the only right thing to do is to immediately pull the show. Because again, no one should ever want to be <>mistaken for encouraging pedophilia.

We live in evil times. I haven't felt this confused since the 2008/2009 meltdown, when all that was supposedly true was in fact wholesale lies. I'm hoping against hope that the pedo thing is not as big as alleged; otherwise, the "leadership" of this country must burn.

Netflix sucks.

Another example of Black Privilege, and Feminist Privilege.

If you want to get away with:

1. Pedophilia
2. Racism
3. Arson
4.Looting
5. Murder

Put a black face on it. It is the most effective shield and cloak of invisibility ever in the USA.

I wonder how many Patnetters still support pedophiles by subscribing to Netflix...

I wish I'd subscribed in the past so I could quit now.

We were way ahead of time - we quit around 2010!

I quit Netflix years ago.

If you recently quit, write a paper letter to Reed Hastings and complain.
CC your letter to the local newspaper and TV station.

I have Classic Reel for 3 bucks, TubiTV (free) , Peacock (free) , Pluto (free) , YouTube (free content), etc.

This seems the like the obvious conclusion for anyone who looks at the situation, so Netflix wanted to lose subscribers and be prosecuted? Of course not, but I think arrogance made them and pedophile elite imagine that they could get away with this. Shows how out of touch they are with the average American's sense or morality.

Take note, those who feel despondent about the state of our country. There are still a LOT of good people living here.

I used YouTube (among other things) with my roku and I've noticed they are getting very aggressive with adds lately.

It used to be only 3 to 5 secs up front and you can cancel it after that. Now it's that or 1 to 2 15-2min adds, some you can't cancel and adds in the middle of programming. I get them every 6 minutes.

Then in between vids they hit you with several to many minute adds. So if you're washing dishes you're screwed.

If I'm active, I have a workaround. I just kill it and start it and kill it and start it over and over and then the add goes away. For maybe 6 mins.

I'm about done.

If you like, I can give you a box to download youtube videos from - that removes commercials. Not certain if a Roku box can play from an arbitrary source though.

That's because there's hundreds of millions being spent on political ads. It will go back to normal after the election.

Normally I only get commercials on YouTube recommended videos and popular infuencers that is allowed to monetize. The videos I normally watch, don't normally get commercials. But lately there's so much money being dumped, that Youtube couldn't possibly meet those commitment, if they don't push commercials to content and channels, that advertisers normally don't target.

That;s why you desperately need a YouTube ad blocker for your phone, or something. It's easy enough to block the ads on a desktop.

Eh. Never watched Cuties, but sounds awful. That said I'm still subscribed to Netflix. I don't like pedophiles at all, but I presumed they removed it from their service? Cancel culture is a two way street. As long as the service fixes the problem, I'm generally okay with it. Was it a bad decision to allow that type of program on their network, yes. Hopefully they learn. If they continually make massive mistakes, then yes, I'll cancel. Every corp and individual is going to make mistakes, some big. But I'm not going to tell them to just fuck off and cancel, even after a big mistake.

Basically this is why we now have cancel culture. Let's not propagate it any further. Punish, shame or whatever and move on.

Let me show you just a portion of the film, and it's not been withdrawn from Netflix.

I can get about 30 seconds into it before I'm disgusted.

This wasn't "bad judgement" from Netflix. This wasn't a mistake - they are defending this film. Tell me, how do you feel watching that clip?

Won't watch the clip. Heard too much about it. I'll just cancel then. Thought they pulled it. Haven't stayed on top of the story. My bad.

Why won't you watch it? Uncomfortable seeing an 11 year old twerk and slap their inner thighs when they are spreading their legs?

Well, you ought to be.

When Stanley Kubrick made The Shining, the child actor - Danny Lorrance, who played Danny, was never made aware that he was in a horror film. That's what steps Kubrick made to protect him. How was that even possible with these children in Cuties? These children are children. The parents of these actual children, are scum to allow their kids to be exploited in this film, and that's what they were - exploited.

This film is rightfully criticized. I've never bothered to own Netflix, but the disgust is legitimate and warranted.

Yes. Like I said, won't watch it. Cancelled now, seriously. I thought they pulled it.

My concern with cancelling stuff is when a corp makes an apology and corrects their actions, I'm okay giving a 2nd chance. Didn't realize Netflix was run by retarded people apparently. Won't watch that shit. I have a 10 year old kid and have no interest in seeing what I've heard about from this shit show.

I'm not trying to berate you, but I don't think "cancel culture" is entirely bad.

Some companies act against the interests of society and people in general. Their attitude is "too bad, we will do whatever we like", and they get government bailouts, government contracts, and they don't depend on the public. This is why Obama is on the BOD of Netflix - they are promoting an agenda.

The problem isn't so much that we have corporations pulling this crap, it's that we're paying for it through tax money. Google, Facebook, and Twitter are all heavily connected to the intelligence agencies. Do you think they are cutting off information and censoring because they actually feel pressure to do this from the public? They are getting pressure from the government, the intelligence agencies, not the public.

The problem is, we don't live in a capitalist system. We're in full blown fascism and have been for a while.

Did you ever see James Gunn's "jokes" about pedophilia? He was "fired" from Dizzey, but they rehired him.

There's definitely an agenda.

The reality is there's plenty of people in positions of power being blackmailed. They used to be blackmailed for being homosexual - like J. Edward Hoover probably was. Dennis Hastert was controlled, he was a pedophile. We live in quite a corrupt society, more than the vast majority of people suspect.

Bill Clinton is very probably a rapist, there's rumors (plenty of them) that the Bush family is connected to pedophilia - ever heard of the Fanklin Scandal? A documentary called Conspiracy of Silence was made about it:

www.youtube.com/embed/mtstlx96s8M

Somebody bought all the rights to the film, and nearly all copies were destroyed. It was scheduled to air sometime in the early 1990s. Somebody kept a copy, and made it available about 20 years ago. I remember allegations in the early 1990's about Boy's Town being used to secure victims for pedophiles in government - and then... The story just disappeared.

I know Denny. The school he was doing his funny stuff with the wresting team is not far from me. I'm likely only a level or two away on the Kevin Bacon scale from knowing who he diddled with. And when I say know, I've met him and been to events with my father and had conversations with the guy (Hastert) . No interest in doxxing myself further, but I had no clue in my interactions with Hastert he fucked boys or did other sexual acts. Seemed like a nice guy.

Power allows you to get away with a lot. Hence why I'm 1,000% on board with term limits for House Reps and Senators. If you can keep it for a lifetime, you'll do anything. If it's a set term if you win, then that's it. Who knows though, maybe that will result in even more power struggle. You only have say 12 years to get what you want. Definitely think Senators should be limited to 2 like POTUS, especially since they're 6 year terms. Don't have to work for much once elected.

Fuuuuck... I started a youtube program before jumping in the shower (I have speakers in there) and waiting 3mins for the commercial so I could cancel it. I also canceled the commercial that attempted to start at the beginning. I jump in then 2 or 3 minutes later it started a 1hr 24min fucking commercial.

I really want a replacement! So goddamn insane lately and it has nothing to do with the election.

Someone at the TV station sent a copy to John DeCamp. He was the lawyer for several of the abused children involved in the scandal. The documentary only scratches the surface of the book he wrote The Franklin Coverup. Just be warned, there are some extremely disturbing parts in the book.

Given the Epstein scandal, I think this is a particularly relevant time to educate ourselves on our countries history with pedophilia. There are plenty of voices speaking up for black and Jews, whether deserved or not. Not nearly enough speaking up for children.

I can learn about some of the most horrible shit of my government, but when it comes to just abuse of children, or even animals, I just want to kill myself. I can't deal with it. Sadism is the worst thing imaginable and I think sadists run our nation. Abuse of power.

I have a copy of Conspiracy of Silence, and even posted it, but I've never gone through the whole thing. There's just shit that I know will break me. There's some stuff I'd rather prefer to believe is just a "conspiracy theory", even if it isn't.

Still don't believe in Adrenochrome though. It's just epinephrine that's been oxidized. If it was actually useful as a drug, it would be synthesized if it could be, and it's easy to synthesize. I don't think it's even a controlled substance.

I found a sadist online, and I'm not going into details. I tracked him down, confirmed he was real, what he claimed to have done, he had done, and I didn't sleep for 3 days. It was unbelievable cruelty. It wasn't a human child at least.

Shortly after the original post I moved almost entirely to Rumble on my roku (for TV) however at the time there still wasn't much content on Rumble yet.

Celebrating a late Fathers Day today in fact (b/c of illness) and I set him up with the same so he can continue to watch Tucker Carlson.
