Because he needs their votes!

Hee hee. I had to read it twice to get the joke. Illegals aren't supposed to be ALLOWED to vote.

This is super obvious, as obvious as all the freeway signs during an election encouraging us: “¡Sí, Puedo Votar!”

Lol, exactly!

It was a just a random thought while drinking coffee this morning, but wife laughed out loud, so it seemed worth posting. She's a tough audience.

A favorite republitard fantasy is that they actually do vote.

Well, probably only the Trump cult republitards are actually that stupid, or pathologically that dishonest with themselves.

This study examines participation rates by non-citizens using a nationally representative sample that includes non-citizen immigrants. We find that some non-citizens participate in U.S. elections, and that this participation has been large enough to change meaningful election outcomes including Electoral College votes, and Congressional elections. Non-citizen votes likely gave Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress.

Not a partisan site.

Illegals do vote, and in large enough numbers to change US laws.

:
And then there are all the studies that say it's less than that.

It really shouldn't be that difficult to have only citizens registered to vote.

Yes it wouldn’t be difficult at all if the Left actually wanted it that way. Need a government issued ID to register and an ID to vote. Done.

I have a visitor from Mexico who was at the airport when her flight home was cancelled.

I just suggested that she goes to see if she can get free $500 and she said she would give it to me.

She’s technically illegal since her visa expired last week.

I’m not going to get any free money because I had a large capital gain in 2018 and I didn’t prepare my 2019 tax return yet.

Voting against one's best interest is America's greatest freedom.

That's not wrong.

The freedom to vote however you think best is the essence of democracy.

If others tell you "that's not in your best interest", well, they have the right to say that without government interference, according to the First Amendment.

But you still have the right to vote however you think best.

Bingo.

Voter ID, problem solved.

But Democrats are determined to prevent Voter ID.

And allowing licenses for illegals while registering to vote at the DMV. Also, I understand some local elections in California openly allow illegals to vote.

@patrick here is what the author of the study has to say about Trump's interpretation of the study.

https://www.wired.com/2017/01/author-trumps-favorite-voter-fraud-study-says-everyones-wrong/

That was Richman's research, all right. The problem, says Richman, who identifies as a political moderate, is that the Trump administration's interpretation of his report is totally off. "Trump and others have been misreading our research and exaggerating our results to make claims we don't think our research supports," Richman says. "I'm not sure why they continue to do it, but there’s not much I can do about that aside from set the record straight."

That's like saying we won't prosecute the occasional murder since the numbers are exaggerated. It's clear and proven that it's happening, whether the numbers are large enough to sway the occasional election is irrelevant. It's outrageous that people come here illegally and break the law and are rewarded for it. It takes a legal immigrant around 10 years to immigrate plus 5 years until they become a citizen and can vote, illegals either stand in line or get the fuck out of the country. Democrats and Republicans skirting these laws are basically committing treason.

Actually, not proven because they never meet the people in the study, it was done over Facebook. No actual check was performed to confirm the respondent was not actually allowed to vote. Read the article.

Tell me, how do we make a system that will guarantee that no illegal immigrants votes? How much will it cost?

Voter I'd.

We should require all voters to provide proof of citizenship. It might not stop ALL criminals from voting but it would be a step in the right direction. It would cost less than Newsom's direct payments to illegals.

Are you for or against undocumented immigrants?
22   porkchopXpress   2020 Apr 19, 10:18am

Let's just use human logic. If a state doesn't check for citizenship status when voting, and there's a particular political party that vows to give free shit to illegal immigrants, I wonder if illegal immigrants will proactively vote for that political party. Um, no shit...I don't need a think tank or any number of studies to tell me that.

That's like having numerous studies on whether 15 year old boys masturbate.
23   Patrick   2020 Apr 19, 10:30am

logic says
You are complaining about a hard working individual, I just can't do that.

Wrong.

No one is complaining about a "hard working individual" per se. The spin!

Complaining about an illegal who has broken the law to get here or stay here, and complaining about criminal employers of illegals who are saving money by taking wages and jobs from US citizens.

The problem is the large direct harm that illegals do to US citizens, especially poorer US citizens, not to mention the other costs, like emergency room costs, which are driven up by illegals who go there for free treatment.

Many muggers work hard at robbing people! They really put a lot of work into it. That makes them "hard working individuals" according to your phrasing, which ignores the fact that they are committing a crime.

The point is the harm to US citizens and the loss of respect for our laws when people are allowed to break them with impunity.

Please address those points, not irrelevant points.

No disagreement. Just always be prepared for the consequences of one's action or inactions

Are you talking about the peasants voting for Trump, against the wishes of our owners?

Well, that resulted in three solid years of economic boom. Thanks for pointing that out. Those consequences were fantastic!
25   Patrick   2020 Apr 19, 10:39am

Are you serious?

THEY MAKE MONEY BY TAKING IT FROM AMERICANS WHO WOULD OTHERWISE HAVE THOSE JOBS

Again, please be honest and direct. Stop the spin.
26   Patrick   2020 Apr 19, 10:41am

You don't lose sleep over it because it's not your job they are taking.

Yet.
27   Patrick   2020 Apr 19, 10:43am

Illegals are committing a crime to get money.

Employers are committing a crime to save money.

Both of them are happy to fuck over poor US citizens, with lots of help from Americans who look the other way because it's not their own job on the line.

You are the one complaining about them taking jobs. Do you think they would stay employed if they were not hard working. What spin Patrick? They are hard woking, how is that spin?

I don't give a fuck how hard working they are. It's fucking irrelevant. They broke the law and this is all that matters.
29   Patrick   2020 Apr 19, 11:12am

Maybe, here, at this forum, we should talk about solutions and how to implement those solutions in the most efficient way possible?

Yes, agreed.

The most important thing by far is to get the people whose jobs are not threatened by illegals to show a little sympathy for their fellow citizens whose jobs are threatened by illegals.

The laws won't be enforced as long as rich employers can count on vast swathes of the public to defend illegals in preference to their own fellow citizens.
30   Patrick   2020 Apr 19, 11:21am

You know what it really comes down to?

The media doing in depth personal heartbreaking stories on illegals over and over and over, as directed by media owners.

And zero such stories on the millions of Americans who have lost jobs and wages to illegals.

Zero.

The media is owned by the same crowd that exploits cheap illegal labor to build houses and butcher cattle. They have successfully prevented most people from feeling any sympathy for Americans who are harmed by illegals.
31   Patrick   2020 Apr 19, 11:55am

Agreed.
32   Patrick   2020 Apr 19, 12:06pm

logic says
The laws won't be enforced until you keep the rich employers from being able to buy off politicians.

Also agreed, but the politicians ultimately have to answer to us, the voters.

As long as politicians know that the media stories are effective in keeping Americans hard-hearted and unsympathetic about their fellow citizens who are being screwed over by having to compete with illegally low wages, the politicans will not solve this problem.

Don't abandon your people.

How? In what form? Drivers license?

Make it a process. like getting a new SS card or a passport. Require proof of citizenship such as an official birth certificate checked against official records. Or a passport. Then they get their voter card.

Voting shouldn't be easier than signing up for a Starbucks account..

I've got a very simple solution for this, when a person registers to vote the registrar should be required to prove citizenship and other things. What is wrong with this solution? It's really not that hard. Should be being donevalready if you ask me. They already have a system in place, e-verify.

Good Idea Logic!

And then require them to vote in person with voter registration card and picture ID. Though I would miss my mail in ballot.

LOL, this what they make you to show when applying for Real ID-compliant DL in California. Yet for voter registration it's suddenly a too heavy of a burden and they just fucking register every-fucking-body.
