There is a movie Hillbilly Elegy on netflix. He was poor n his mother was drug addict. Lot of issues n was raised by grandmother.
I know netflix would have left leaning story but they made it before he was nominated for vice pres. Him along with Trump, elon, Tulsa all were democrat earlier.
