There weren't 6 million Jews killed in the holocaust. Maximum, and that's a stretch, was 2.

There was still a holocaust though, it didn't just involve Jewish people either. It was a desperate war effort, many people were forced into slave labor for the effort, lots of people died, but it wasn't unique to just Jewish people. Poles, atheists (communists), Jews, Gypsies, criminals, social outcasts, they were all put into the slave labor camps and if they didn't work, they were killed. They died of REAL pandemics, they had supply lines cut by the allies to frustrate the war effort, it was absolutely brutal.

We are given a fictional version of what happened in WWII, and make no mistake, that war was BRUTAL. If the US found itself attacked and in a desperate situation, the Japanese would have been put to work, as well as criminals, and other "undesirables", and if they didn't work, they would have been killed.

If people really, actually knew what war was like, they wouldn't join up and they wouldn't support it. If only people knew.

If you were a 30 year old father, with a 5 year old kid, and your entire family was starving, and some wealthy man came in to "adopt your child", what would you do? You don't know what this wealthy man will do to your kid, but if you don't give up your child, your child is going to die of starvation - maybe the rest of the family can survive, and you get some money for the child. What do you do? Hopefully the man is a good man, and not a child rapist. Your kid is dead if you refuse, you can barely feed yourself much less your wife, and your other kids.
