Notably, the case has nothing to do with “Trump, the Trump campaign or the 2016 US election” – it has to do with work Manafort did with former Ukranian President Victor Yanukovych from 2005-2014. The case was referred to the federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) by Special Investigator Robert Mueller… who also referred Democrat superlobbyist Tony Podesta for prosecution as part of similar work he did for Yanukovych.

All of this begs the question – if Tony Podesta committed the same crimes as Paul Manafort, why hasn’t the SDNY brought charges against him?

Lobbyist and temporary Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort is at the center of the Russia probe – however the scope of the investigation has broadened to include his activities prior to the 2016 election.

Manafort worked with the Podesta Group since at least 2011 on behalf of Russian interests, and was at the Podesta Group offices “all the time, at least once a month,” peddling Russian influence through a shell group called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine (ECMU).

Manafort brought a “parade” of Russian oligarchs to congress for meetings with members and their staffs, however, the Russia’s “central effort” was the Obama Administration.

In 2013, John Podesta recommended that Tony hire David Adams, Hillary Clinton’s chief adviser at the State Department, giving them a “direct liaison” between the group’s Russian clients and Hillary Clinton’s State Department.

In late 2013 or early 2014, Tony Podesta and a representative for the Clinton Foundation met to discuss how to help Uranium One – the Russian owned company that controls 20 percent of American Uranium Production – and whose board members gave over $100 million to the Clinton Foundation.

“Tony Podesta was basically part of the Clinton Foundation.”

Believing she would win the 2016 election, Russia considered the Podesta Group’s connection to Hillary highly valuable.

In other words, the Podesta Group was likely as much or even more complicit in any wrongdoing than Manafort was. Of course, none of this stopped Mueller from offering Podesta immunity – in exchange for testimony against Manafort:

Trump of course understands why the Podesta Group investigation has been effectively ignored...

...the Podesta brothers are both well-connected swamp creatures, on the same political team as the uber-politicized SDNY assigned to levy charges against them.

Absolutely. All cheap Russian whores should rot in jail.

Podesta didn't contract with Putin's people to get control of the party's candidate and rewrite his party's position on the Ukraine.

True, he contracted instead with KSA to maintain control of the other major party's candidate and to expand that party's position on the Ukraine and Syria. Tony Podesta is literally a registered foreign agent for KSA, and Hillary Clinton and her family and their foundation have also received million$ from KSA. If you want to investigate foreigners interfering in American elections, go ahead, but when you point that finger at one party you have several fingers pointing back at the other.

Only one side gets investigated and selectively prosecuted. That isn't justice, or protecting elections from foreign interference. It's red-baiting McCarthyism on behalf of KSA and the military industrial complex.

Would you have preferred war against Russia over Crimea, or Syria? Democrats were trying to sell that, in the name of "liberalism" and peace, really reminding me of George Orwell's 1984. We can and should lament Stalin's genocide against Ukraine, and his compulsory relocation of Russians into Ukraine (especially Crimea), but it happened nearly a century ago, and today's Russian-speaking, ethnically Russian Crimeans did not cause Stalin to do that. (Stalin came from Georgia, and used Russians and Ukrainians against each other, so if you want collective punishment it's hard to know who the target should be.) Hillary Clinton's efforts to expand NATO into Ukraine caused a predictable reaction from Vladimir Putin on behalf of Russia. The crime is either that Clinton failed negligently to think through the consequences of her actions in Ukraine, Libya, and Syria, or (worse) that she intended to provoke WWIII between east and west on behalf of her military and Saudi clients. Nobody else, in any country, would have gained from the wars that she and the Podesta brothers were trying to sell.

Manafort was convinced of tax evasion, not being a swamp creature. Missed the memo somehow?

Bobby, you really need to keep up and use reading comprehension.

Manafort was busted because he WASN'T a swamp creature, the Podesta brothers still walk free on the streets because they ARE swamp creatures.

Missed the common sense train?

Someone who was a lobbyist and political operator in washington DC since 1976 was an innocent outsider? No one on the planet is more of a swamp creature than manafort. ROFLOL. You're killing me here. Seriously, how do you make this shit up? Most people don't have that much imagination.

Without any text from you, I don't understand this meme. You seem like a Trump guy, which is fine by me. But this does appear to be a pro Dem meme. A little surprised to see you post it. I assume there's a reason? Only Trump's investigation results in convictions and therefore there's a deep state conspiracy against him?

T Podesta already lost his firm, and has been recommended for indictments. Its a good start.

Manafort deserved what he got, whether it was a fair process or not is a different discussion. Noone should be crying for swamp creature manafort and his $15000 jackets.

That's the funny part, most leftist think conservatives or independents give a fuck about Manafort of Cohen. I personally don't.

I do care that actual swamp creatures (Ellison, Wasserman-Shultz, Clinton etc) get thrown into prison and removed from office. Soros would be the king's prize though. The day he dies or is thrown into prison will be a very good day for the health of the United States as a country.

A Pro Dem meme that laws and rules don't apply to them.

So get this Aholes, yesterday after Trump and Session's back and forth exchange the two of them had a cabinet meeting and nothing about it was ever mentioned again.
Trump and Sessions is playing them like a cheap Kazoo. I bet there will be a torrent of Liberal tears by October. As they will be denied again and Trump and Sessions will put them all to heel.

Maybe we should give him due process? I know lock em all up, fuck due process.

BTW the crimes Manafort was convicted of have to do with bank fraud and tax evasion, not his work in The Ukraine. The stupid fuck spent all the money he made working in the Ukraine, didn't pay taxes on it and then defrauded banks to borrow more so he could keep up his nuevo riche life style. He was broke and then goes to work for Trump for free because he's a patriot and wants to MAGA? Really?

If we had due process, would Hillary, Huma, Debbie WatsHerFace, Podesta, Mills, Billy Bob, Obama, Comey, Brennan, McCabe, Ohr and more still be walking around free on the planet, or would they have already been indicted?
