We drove to Death Valley from Las Vegas last March. They were touting a Super Bloom then too, but it wasn't as colorful as some of those pictures.

Plenty of natural beauty to awe at there, anyways.

You can take a two+ hour drive NE, and see something similarly colorful, and then you don't have to feel like an asshole. At Easter my mom was trying to rope us into going this weekend, not sure if I have the time. But typing that, I'm reminded I should find the time

Wow - Longwood Gardens looks really cool. It's a cultivated beauty instead of an ephemeral natural beauty, but a beauty non the less.
