The requirements to work for camp Trump seem, to me at least, to be pretty unique and not directly tied to competence.
It is historic that the VP had to tie break. I think she is a dreadful choice.
But a reason to boycott? No.
I think we have to realize here, and embrace the fact, that this is the system working. There were no special additional rule or slow erosion of process here, by corruption or misdirection. This was done as it should have been done. Great job Dems highlighting this very 'special' pick and forcing it to be a unique situation for the administration. Repubs, totally within your right to approve your choice and support your administration in power.
Now we get to see how these "smartest" "best" "great" people do. ;) I'm sure down the road the Dems may be able to say, "Remember when we objected to her confirmation? Yeah, well, this is why."
