Sure, losing TSA would be sweet, but if this requires losing US Constitution along with it, I'll pass. CA one-party political system is a fucking joke and people getting to the top are certifiable loons. It's good to have at least some semblance of an adult oversight over Gayin' Newsom , Jerry Moonbeam, Leland "Shrimpboy's boy" Yee and the whole fucking 9th Circui(t/s)....

I think the US would be better off without CA. Think about it, we'd be practically guaranteed a Republican president, Republican super majority on both houses, and control of the supreme court. The only thing that would really cost is is another huge wall to keep people from California from immigrating.

South Carolina actually threatened/seceded twice. The first time I think it was Jackson, threatened to send in troops if they went through with it, and SC replied "Bring it on!" Feds quickly changed their minds and changed the laws pissing of SC'ers. This was the time I was thinking of, 1832.

If serious move towards secession would ever start in CA (not that I think it's likely), it will split into 2 or even 3 states with at least 1 of them choosing to remain in the US.

CTA, or California Teachers Union is one example. There is a large amount of federal funding that goes into our schools, and their pocket. And they routinely run the ballots here. Also, Boxer and Feinstien are part of congress, a federal institution. They have been in power forever, and eliminating the feds eliminates them. Locally I can tell you that former DA Dumanis always used the DEA to make her raids on local business's. At the border those of us who cross know the traffic flow and tourism between SD and TJ was much better before the feds took over. These are just a few places...
