Maybe bear was not a glutton and figured that once he was done with dude's corpse that he would come for her since she was getting weak from dehydration, hunger and blood loss.

Movie Revenant has a reputation for an oscar worthy depiction of the bear attack. I agree, it was well presented, but yesterday I saw a Canadian film Backcouuntry and must say that the attack scene there was at quite another level of artistic talent.
