One day, Khairuldeen Makhzoomi was proudly asking the U.N. secretary-general a question. The next, he was booted from a Southwest flight and questioned by the FBI.

No one trusts Muslims.

3   HEY YOU   2016 Apr 18, 10:25am

Democratic & Republican voters should be kicked out of the voting booth.
They are a much bigger threat than any Muslim,Communist or anarchist.

4   FortWayne   2016 Apr 18, 10:34am

What does he expect? It's tense out there, muslims have been working overtime trying to blow up our planes, we can't pretend there is no fear or risk of association there.

5   Dan8267   2016 Apr 18, 10:41am

The fact that he was questioned is not a problem. The fact that he was removed from a flight, missed the flight, and was subject to harassment and false accusations are.

$10,000 fine to each FBI agent involved so that they can learn the proper way to question a citizen who already went through the security checkpoint.

$100,000 fine from the FBI and $100,000 to SW Airlines for punitive damages and compensation to the victim.

Ban the woman who gave false testimony about what he said from ever flying again on any airline. She was OK with preventing others from flying simply because of her bigotry, so turnabout is fair play.

If merely speaking Arabic is suspicious to security agents then those agents are not doing their jobs. False positives flooding surveillance create false negatives. If you're looking at the wrong stuff, then you aren't looking at the right stuff and you're not providing security, only theater.

You do realize the word Algebra is an arabic word? Oh, who am I kidding, a complete utter moron like you wouldn't know about algebra!!!

The word Ojala in spanish is literally allah willing. So I guess we better rule out spanish too!

1 billion muslims in the world, 3 million in the US. So yeah, demonize the entire religion, and any foreign sounding languages.

How can anyone be so stupid as you? I'm asking seriously, were you dropped on your head? drink water in flint as a child? mom on drugs?

Translation: I'm a bigot and I don't care about the rights and well-being of other Americans if they don't have the same ancestry as I do.

Image if African-Americans applied this philosophy to the police and shot every cop on sight just because it might be a cop intending to shoot an unarmed black man. Preemptive violence only ensures violence.

The airlines and FBI did their job. I dare anyone to sue them. You expect the FBI to be right every time?
The woman did the right thing by reporting a suspicious activity. It's what we are all supposed to do.

Islam should be demonized. There's a reason why terrorists love that barbaric religion.

12   Ceffer   2016 Apr 18, 11:19am

They need to stop demanding that the airplanes face Mecca during prayer calls.

13   youareworthless   2016 Apr 18, 11:21am

FortWayne says

He said Imshallah . "god willing" means the same thing as Ojala in spanish. "allah allows"

If he had said 'ant ghabia, you would have gotten him pulled off the plane too if you were there, but that just means "you are stupid" in arabic.

SO, lets run this by typed slowly, so even a complete moron like you can understand:

1. a terrorist wouldn't make a phone call in Arabic, precisely to avoid morons like you taking notice.
2. There are nearly 1 million arabic speakers in the US
3. Arabic is the 5th most spoken language in the world, at nearly 300 million speakers.

So, even an utter bigot like you with a brain slightly lower functioning then a banana slugs can see that marginalizing and discrimiinating against 1 million Americans and 300 million people world wide is not an effective method to deter terrorism. ( I apologize for the offensive words, I'm sorry banana slugs for comparing your thinking skills to this twit)

Last I heard on the news they never stop speaking Arabic, so stop pulling your information out of your ass "worthless".

eah there are lots of them, so what. And every single suicide bomber was also a Muslim too in the past many many years. It is almost never non-muslims. A bomb blowing up a plane, you can be sure some Al Queda / ISIS (all muslims).

You want to pretend it's racist, go to town. The rest of us sane people would rather be safe and not delusional like some Muslim sympathizer.

The new theme is "see something, say something" ..... Right?

Strategist says

Their job was to question him briefly, determine that he was not a threat and had no weapons, and then let him back on the plane. Their job was not to falsely accuse him of crimes, insult him, and leave him stranded. Not only is that not their job, but its counterproductive to fighting terrorism. This guy is no terrorist, but he could have been someone willing to rat on terrorists. Now, not so much.

Study after study has shown that the most important and effective anti-terrorism intelligence comes from Muslims who are willing to inform the authorities on other people's plots, and this only happens with good relationships with the Muslim community. In fact, the same principle applies to organize crime, gang-related crime, and just about any other adversarial situation.

So acting like an asshole and disparaging potential allies in the fight against terrorism is just plain stupid and dangerous. Every FBI agent who didn't act professional with this guy should be fired.

What's more important to you strategist, making Muslims feel intimidated and emasculated or saving American lives? The two are mutually exclusive.

Strategist says

The woman did the right thing by reporting a suspicious activity.

The woman did wrong by lying about what happened. That is not productive.

I did not say she shouldn't have reported that the guy was talking in Arabic, even though there is no reason to. However, that bigot lied about what he said. Plain and simple.

Oh, and if you find speaking Arabic suspicious, then you suck at security. False positives mask false negatives. Every time you get distracted by the innocent, non-threatening person speaking Arabic or wearing a turban, you miss the real terrorist. Getting distracted by irrelevant bullshit is a security threat.

18   Dan8267   2016 Apr 18, 1:58pm

This whole situation could have been avoided if the Muslim had boarded the plane with an AK-47 and a Confederate flag bandanna. This is clearly a problem that is solved by exercising the Second Amendment. After all, a well-armed society is safer than a disarmed society. Right?

300 million arabic speakers. 70 terrorists.

There I fixed it for you.

Funny you used skittles, when 750,000 Americans die of heart attack and stroke a year, while a handful of Americans die of Islamic terrorism.

Quit eating candy. Its for more likely to kill you than any muslim is.

Further, as already pointed out above, information from other muslims is our first line of defense to stop terrorist attacks. Vilifying and treating all muslims or arabic speakers as the enemy both reduces future cooperation, and sets the stage for a fertile ground for terrorist recruitment.

I know you'd rather remain a very stupid bigot than understand this post. Carry on, you might as well be good at one thing in life!

In this day and age it's just stupid to say shit like this regardless of your nationality or level of PC.
stupid gets what stupid deserves...

"I just called him and talked to him about it and everything, and he told me (to) call him when I get to Oakland, and I said, 'insha'Allah insha'Allah (God willing), I will call you when I arrive.'

28   Y   2016 Apr 19, 6:48am

you shit out arabic on a plane with some god words thrown in for good measure, you wind up scaring the shit outta half the passengers, thanks to the MSM.
so you get kicked off...
the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...
