Okay, this is the refresher course of Basic Human Rights 101.
I don't want to try to understand the thought processes of adults who believe that rape is ever okay under any circumstances, so I won't try. For those of you who don't get the basic human rights thing: Rape is never okay, whether female or male, prisoner, slave or free, realtor or non-realtor. It is a violent action to humiliate, hurt and exert control through fear over another human being.
I want to believe you guys are just kidding around. Notice in the media they do occasionally make jokes around prison rape, but not about men raping women. There is a good reason for that-- this happens and women don't think it very funny.

I'm with Indiana Jones, here. The only reason this story is here is because the woman is a realtor.
The "profession" is one of the few that requires the realtor meet strangers based on a phone call and let them into a house where anything can happen. The house can be robbed, the realtor assaulted (as in this case), or any number of scenarios.
This poor woman deserved better. She was just trying to do her job.

I'd recommend any female realtor keep a .38 Special in its purse, the better to ward off rapists and angry homebuyers. A gun that small will fit nicely in a box of tampons, and no policeman would dare to look in a woman's purse for contraband, especially a ravening realtor.

They could still jump her before she got the gun out - and they might shoot her in the process. I'm an advocate for gun ownership, but I doubt she would have the gun drawn while she was showing the house.

That assumes a lot, like the assailant won't just overpower the woman, take the gun away from here and use it to threaten her into coercion.
It also assumes the woman will bother to learn how to properly use the gun during the high stress of an assault and will be willing to kill another human being even if that person is a rapist.
