What's really scary is that this took place in Massachusetts; a one-party state, essentially. It wouldn't surprise me in the least that more voter fraud is rampant in the swing-states.

..............."A couple of things about this story:

First, this guy is a Democrat stuffing a ballot box…in MASSACHUSETTS. Dude—you had this election at “Hello, I’m the Democrat.” Not only is is Massachusetts, but it’s one of the (many) parts of Massachusetts that have no competitive elections. He could have spent the entire election season in a coma and would have still been elected.

In 2008 and 2012, Smith was unopposed. In 2010, he got more than 63% of the vote against an independent candidate. (He did, however, have a competitive primary in 2010)

Second, this case was only pursued because a local newspaper writer picked up on the fact that multiple absentee ballots were mailed in from Rep. Stephens’ home (we don’t hide our corruption in Massachusetts, we brag about it).

And finally—the Democrats involved STILL don’t think this is a big deal:

One of his lawyers, Peter C. Horstmann, declined to discuss the case, but said in an e-mail, “Please remember, these are misdemeanors.”

Hey, what’s a little voter fraud between friends, right?

By the way, Massachusetts has had three speakers of the house convicted of felonies in a row. Coincidence…or something more?
