No, and I don't think they are setting a good example for abnormal girls either.
The very idea of Beauty Pageants sets a terrible example for all people, and we're going to complain that the organizers have specific definitions of beauty? The whole point of the contest is for people who are genetically blessed to show off what luck gave them and make everyone else feel like shit.
Boo-fucking-hoo.
some girls actually want the scholarships. i do agree that pagents are terrible examples, but this is magnified by the size 2 young woman being penalized because she gained weight. I'm a size 2 - plus a few other sizes thrown in.
It ain't easy being this beautiful - it's a curse...
Repoofbrains&reason:
why are you yelling at me? what is it that, in your past, created such a racist attitude in your lifetime? Oh, wait, I don't really care - and besides, the warden is probably ready to call a lockdown so you have to go anyway.
;)

It seems that Miss San Antonio, 17 year old Domonique Ramirez, has gained weight and the pagent wants to replace here because of it. She's 5'8", 129 pounds. That makes her a practically obese size 2; the pagent's spokesperson says that she needs to get into shape like any elite athlete.
And they seriously think that they're setting a good example for normal girls? ugh.
