Yup, my parents are silents also. The whole "Be your kid's friends" is from Dr. Spock, who famously neglected his own kids. The Self-Esteem shit really got underway in the 90s.

My son pitched tonight at baseball. I don't know, he sucked. He was the better of the 3 pitchers, but I don't sugar coat it. I mean I don't totally shit on him, but I point out what he did wrong critically. I still point out what he did right. But I don't know how one can get better at something without making note of the bad stuff.

My old man was a boomer and was ruthless with me, so I don't really know another way. I personally don't like most boomers, but you can't pigeonhole an entire generation as a certain personality. There are some rough characters from the boomer generation that didn't put up with shit.

These mom's at these games piss me off though. It's why I don't coach though. I'd likely be good at it with improving the kids skills. I can't deal with parents or the parents that baby their kids and let them run amok. Honestly, I hate other peoples kids 90% of the time. And their parents. So I'm not a good fit to coach.

I'll use it here, retard. Try not to use it verbally. My issue is swearing. Like "what the fuck were you thinking on that play dumb ass" to the 8 year old 2nd baseman.

Also, kids the age I'd coach similar to mine are behind where they should be already in almost all sports. One negative of small/rural towns. They suck, but the best kid thinks he's king shit of fuck mountain. Goes against a district with 2k students, 9-12th grade and gets destroyed every time. Big fish in a small pond. Hard to coach those types.

We had a ton in my high school growing up, big fish, small pond. But when the rubber met the road there were only 3 of us in my class that were all state athletes. One was in my band and did cross country. The other did my same event in track. And then me. In hindsight it didn't matter. Most kids simply suck at sports and I have no interest in coaching them. Every parent now thinks their kids is god's gift to the earth athletically. So that doubles down on the retardation.

Agreed. Moms or womyn in general are crucial in this fight. A based housewife can scorch the earth these leftoid asshoes are walking on. It's a bit like fight club, moms are - or should be - involved everywhere in community life and once they realize they are being marginalized as well and targeted they could become strong allies. Drinking and driving is alive and well as ever before. As I've gotten older (still young by the demo here likely) it's obvious that drinking and driving is pretty rampant.

I've alway heard of it, but I've been in multiple cars with professional, white collar people. "Want a road soda?" Very common in the midwest to literally drink while driving or at least have a cooler in the back ready to go. Between deer/animals and booze, it's why I generally don't drive at night unless it's in town with 25mph speed limits. Professionals that conference and golf are pretty trashed much of the time.

It's why I'll never text and drive. Most accidents are unexpected. Basically not on coming. So my eyes race between mirrors while driving. Its' going to be a drunk or someone texting that changes lanes and side swipes you or rear ends you most the time. Stop signs and traffic signals are 2nd with a t-bone situation. On coming swerving drunks/texters happen, but you just hear about them more because someone dies usually.
