Canadian pastor Artur Pawlowski was swarmed by police officers after he left what authorities called an “illegal” church service in Calgary. The pastor was ordered to his knees in the middle of a very busy highway where he was handcuffed.
The Calgary Herald reports that Pastor Pawlowski was taken into custody “after he failed to abide by public health orders again during a Saturday church service where dozens were congregating without masks and no regard for physical distancing.”
The police confirm that the pastor’s brother was also arrested.
Police say he’s charged with “inciting” people to go to church. This is the second pastor jailed this year. We’re crowdfunding his lawyers at https://t.co/bMwAj1iNfP pic.twitter.com/RZ913cQns3
Inciting church-going.
You might think “oh that’s just Canada not here” but my answer to that is “give it a few weeks.
Great analysis

My sister was in the foreign service with her husband in Canada a while ago. She went to school there, as did my nephews. She said the Mounties at least are no joke, mean mofo's. The people up north said the handling at the borders is extremely rough, no kid gloves and no kindness. One guy only got across the border because he is card carrying Native American, and they have some kind of exemption for some reason.
The Mayor of Calgary? Naheed Nenshi.
