War is the most serious thing a nation can enter into. It's legalized murder sanctioned by the state. At times this must be done, when all other options have been exhausted but I've not seen options exhausted for 70 years, at least. I think I may be ignorant about WWII and WWI but the Japanese were absolutely evil, Nazis, they created concentration camps for their "undesirables" (not just Jews - many people) but the US created concentration camps for American Japanese.

There would have been plenty of war criminals in the United States, Britain, and the USSR, if the Axis powers won.

The Japanese were certainly a more bloodthirsty state than the United States was, but I'm not so certain with the Nazis. A POW in Germany was almost certain to survive, a POW in Japan was a lab animal. They were monsters. We control Japan to this day - good, fuck them.
