I sure hope Costco fires this ass-clown for mistreatment of customers.
I love shopping at Costco, mostly due to time saving. When the local one started doing something stupid like limiting concurrent shoppers in the store in a small number, and making customers wait outside in a long line before entering, I promptly registered my displeasure and turned around to shop elsewhere for a week until they cancelled the practice.
Down here in South Florida it was the big places like Cosco, Walmart, Publix and the rest that treat customers like that. I go to the Latin grocery store equivalent of Pigly Wigly, and never had a problem and never not found what i went there for.
That first week of lockdown, when even I was furloughed. They had the most beautiful Choice NY strips, and Ribeye Steaks, 2 inch thick, bright pink from the fat marbling in the meat. These things looked like they came from Wholefood's butcher case. For $13.99. I thought to myself, how in the hell do they go from the dark red, not a marble spec of fat Steaks, they been selling for $9.99lb all this time; To these beautiful Butcher Shop quality Steaks for only $5.00 more? And why now, when nobody has a job? Of course most people are back to working now, and they are back to selling Utility Meat. Be nice if they at least offered them still.
I wore a mask before it was required whenever I went into a confined space full of strangers (including homeless bums).
I wear it to protect myself, not others. I wash my hands when I get home for the same reason.
The only annoying thing here is the stores have occupancy limits; some I have waited 8 minutes to enter, usually I don't go that that particularly popular store (Trader Joes).
I don't believe the gloom and doom because 1. I know just one person who got sick and it was a mild case 2. the serious cases I have heard about from others involved sick, fat, asthmatic, etc. people.
I'm healthy but borderline geezer so I will wear a mask inside a space filled with strangers.
