How can we save Murika?
Get ALL Rep/Con/Tea corporations & individuals off govt./tax dollar supported SOCIALISM.
As time went by, desperate Venezuelans grew anxious over not being able to buy food. Then they started jumping over the gates.
Comrade Jazz and Comrade Dan, take note.......How come evil, exploiting, capitalistic America not have that problem?
Wow - such dire news, from the country with the world's largest oil reserves, seems shocking and a much bigger deal than several of the day's headlines that I had seen reported elsewhere. Thanks for posting here.
I think the lesson to be learned here is never ever give creedence to Danny Glover, Sean Penn, Harry Belafonte, or any of the other boobs that think they have a clue in regards to politics.

Or that other guy that doesn't have a clue when it comes to politics:

That's what happen when you rely on oil to screw with the US.
Hopefully Putin and the Saudis are next.

The proper term is "useful idiots", I think coined by Stalin. Add Dean Reed to the list (look him up).
Father, forgive their stupidity, for they know not what they represent...

Be careful what you wish for.
"Am hungry and have nukes" doesn't sound like a stable combination...
Hopefully Putin and the Saudis are next.
It's really no problem. Socialist governments just start killing the people until the survivors begin admitting again that they live in a socialist paradise.
By far the easiest government to manage is one based on Laize Faire capitalism. It is incredibly difficult to manage a socialist government and relies on the willingness of the governed to support this system. Any misstep of government is magnified and echoed in public resentment which can lead to a vicious spiral that ends in chaos and anarchy. This spells disaster for the very people whom socialism is supposed to benefit.
Meanwhile capitalism is much more stable and resilient, but you will ALWAYS have the poor losers on the fringes for people to wring their hands over.
US on Venezuela: 'You can hear the ice cracking. A crisis is coming'
The United States is increasingly concerned about the potential for an economic and political meltdown in Venezuela, spurred by fears of a debt default, growing street protests and deterioration of its oil sector, U.S. intelligence officials said on Friday.
"You can hear the ice cracking. You know there's a crisis coming," one U.S. official said. "Our pressure on this isn't going to resolve this issue."
Mobs in Venezuela have stolen flour, chicken and even underwear this week as looting increases across the crisis-hit OPEC nation where many basic products have run short, and the U.S. officials said this could spiral into widespread unrest. Soldiers fired tear gas at stone-throwing protesters on Wednesday as Venezuela's opposition marched to pressure electoral authorities into allowing a recall referendum against Maduro.
I'm shocked I tell you, I'm shocked.
Watch them blame America.
Socialists being snobby about the lower caste communist bounders? Is there no comraradie in comrade anymore?
dodgerdumbfuck?
Hey, lets pull some posts of yours from the past, how renting made more sense and prices weren't going up due to overbuilding! Super duper economic anaylisis there sport!
I'll have to look up that person you mentioned, if you hate him this much, he also must be much smarter than you!
you keep attacking that other guy.
did he really leave you that butthurt?
you really are a sad loser!
Could you be more of a fuckhole? Clinton is a criminal.
sure. for crimes that 13 hours of testimony in front of the senate, 100+ investigations, and 10 year of GOP attacks can't produce. seriously, unplug fox.

Wow, you really are a fuckhole. Hillary and Bill are career criminals and you didn't answer my questions.
The American state department is not lifting a finger to help the people of Venezuela. Instead they are licking their lips and waiting to loot the country.
Aren't you over reacting a bit?
If he's still concerned about the 2017 US economic meltdown in addition to his concern over the melting south... then he should probably stick with South America.

I wish that's what they'd do. That's better than staging a half-assed, police-military mission to help them find "democracy." At least the other way is more honest, quick, and cheap.... Wars get expensive without the spoils to the victor. Or, we could just mind our own business and let them sort it out for themselves. But we all know that's not the way we do things... So, I say if we're going to involve ourselves, we should walk away with the spoils. Those oil reserves will come in handy.
our new home in North San Diego County (still haven't moved).
Actually, why are you moving? I though Orange County was the place to be?
North San Diego is awesome too. All our rentals are in OC.
Great weather
Less pollution
A more rural lifestyle with lots of acreage.
Proximity to everything.
Better prices than OC.

You need to come down to So Cal. You will love it. Do you enjoy paying the highest property tax in the country?
Do you enjoy paying the highest property tax in the country?
No, but I like paying a lot less for the real estate than CA, so overall, it's less costly.
What's a 3/2 on 3/4 of a acre with a pool cost in that area?
About $700K I would say. We did get a much bigger place with 3 acres, and spectacular views. I don't think I could afford a house like that in OC. Guess what? We have propane.
You accuse me of being overly anecdotal... So, here I go again. The average ambient humidity is increasing. I know this because it's a bitch to straighten my hair, which gets harder to straighten when the humidity rises. What was only a problem when I was in Miami 20 years ago - is now a problem in SoCal. I grew up in SoCal, so my hair barometer data extends several decades.... I don't care about icecaps, or which plant might be thriving where... but when it affects my hair, that's a problem and we need to do something about it asap. I refuse to be on a permanent bad hair day. To take this one step further... If the results lead to accelerated aging due to sun exposure -- then we're really going to have a problem. Stop talking about the planet and possible skin cancer. Focus on accelerated aging and you will get the attention you crave from every person over the age of 35.
Kind of kidding, kind of serious.
Those who live on $1.25 can't afford fossil fuels, and thus cannot pollute much
So why are we letting them in by the millions into Europe and the USA? Horrible for the environment.
Hey, how many elections and referendums does the opposition keep losing? They're like Ted Cruz down there.
TD it's called El Niño.
If you want dry air, stay away from OC, South Bay, and Westside. Spend more time in Woodland Hills, Simi Valley, Santa Clarita, and IE.

So where did you end up? I'm guessing Fallbrook or Bonsall. I used to go to summer camp in Bonsall (Rawhide Ranch).
I agree with you Jazz. My family lives a block from the beach there. But TD was talking about humidity and it does get humid there. Plus the old guys that hang out in the morning by the donut shop north of the pier are creepy and probably all on humaniplex.
Of course now that I realize TD is more from San Diego, I see her point. Downtown San Diego is hella humid in the summers. Comic con used to get hella stank because of the overweight dudes that were there and the constant crop dusting.
