Huh, I've never seen a single commercial on Rumble.

I have a lot of adblocking installed though, like uBlock Origin.

I didn't see one. I paid for a subscription though. Just before I did the commercials had reached an unacceptable point like Tenpoundbass mentioned. At the time I thought to myself: They are going to be way more annoying than youtube to get people to convert. Beaver fake snuff videos every 60 seconds.

I liked them more than youtube though so I decided to pay to support.

Youtube has gotten much shittier with commercials in the meantime.

The advertising creep is everywhere and seems inevitable in the media world. We paid for subscriptions to get away from advertising, and yet, they are getting more obtrusive and longer anyway. I can't stand to watch standard network broadcasting because the advertising can consume 25 percent of the airtime and it is obnoxious and literally strobing for the psyops effects. Advertising is the IPCRESS files for product endorsements, especially on standard broadcast TV. I hit the mute button whenever any ad comes on and it is much more peaceful.

Remember when PBS claim to fame was it was viewer supported, and there were no ads?

Most of the alternative media pundits wind up flogging nutrients and remedies and gold and silver vehicles and various forms of merchandising. I know they have to have financial support to make a living, but it kind of locks them into an editorial position whether they like it or not. If somebody gives them a lucrative advertising gig that they get addicted to financially, they can then be controlled by the threat to withdraw it, and the viewers have to tolerate advertising droning. Pharma is the worst and most invasive of the advertising extortions.

The videos on Rumble are just as bad as YT, even worse. They always make you sit through 2, and more often than NOT, they are a repeat.
The screen locks and makes you listen you can't pause, mute or stop it, you can only hit the back button or close the tab.

You Tube was doing a lot of black people telling you about their body odors and funk, trying to sell you old spice. But at least you could pause, mute and after 5 seconds the skip button would appear. Never a repeat of the same commercial. And also more often than not, YT only makes you sit through one commercial.

Also if it's an important live video, YT, never makes you view a commercial first. I have never even seen a commercial on YT during a Trump live event.
Rumble hits you with the commercials every time. Also the 5 second skip button doesn't even show the countdown until about 3 seconds in, and doesn't convert to skip until at least 2 more seconds after the counter reaches 5. That's 10 full seconds, then repeat it again, that's 20 seconds.
The worse YT will do is make you endure a full 15 second video, but those are far a few between.

I just watch them on my roku so my experience is a little different.

I am getting multiple long commercials on YT these days. Over a minute. Some are stacked and there is no 'skip' button, just a 'next' button. But I just back out on roku and restart 3-5x and that goes away. I've been doing that for almost 15 years. If that starts not working I won't be watching YT anymore. Sometimes it restarts where I left off if it's mid-viewing others back at the beginning. I think the content creators configure the settings. As much as I'd like to support them I won't because YT is evil. But I do support on Rumble.

When I 1st started watching YT ALL commercials were skippable within 3 seconds.

One of the video channels kept showing long pharma ads with smooching ghetto gays. Guess there's a lot more homo action in da ghetto than one might suspect.
