they are paying families and making it easier to have kids. that’s the direction they are going.

While US has been in replacement through migration policy. Which so far has massive unintended consequence like the Tower of Babel. I think Trump is reversing that.

That doesn't really work.

Also takes 2-3 decades even if it did work. I also don't think Russian men and women are that interested in starting families regardless of money.

I think between censorship, most Russians really don't want to live there. Climate wise it seems miserable over 80% of the land. Like northern Canada where no one lives.

if it doesn’t work how did all those societies grow while homogeneous? there are historical examples of it working.

I think both can work, just different. one is slower but homogeneous and more sustainable. other one divides the nation, but early gains are fast, with unclear long term benefit as its artificial.

on different topic, i don’t think population growth is needed. world is a fixed system, at some point it starts deteriorating from overuse. there are sweet spots in population. i remember in college we were told its about 250 million for US. And our professor raged over migrants and poor having too many kids.

Watching RT to learn what happens in Russia is similar to watching CNN to learn about US.

About replacement, one can inquire about the number of Muslims in Moscow. I believe there are about 2 million, and most come from Central Asia. GREAT CHRISTIAN LEADER IS FOLLOWING FRENCH AND BRITISH MIGRATION POLICIES. Moscow is one of cities with most Muslims in Europe.

They weren't paid to do it.

As a rule, the more rapid the urbanization, the more rapid the population collapse that follows roughly one generation after said urbanization's peak.

American urbanization took almost a full century. Asian Tigers? 20 years. Mexico's was more like 50 years (off and on...but really picking up 30 years ago).

Israel has bucked that trend. And no, not because the Orthodox jews have 10 kids or so (like the Amish). They do. But secular Isrealis crammed in expensive cities are popping out ~ 3 kids per woman.

And not because the were paid to.

It's because motherhood is venerated and celebrated socially in Israel. Poorer Mongolia started emulating this and got their birthrate to increase. I think it is at or slightly above replacement level now, too.

Name one historic example of this working.

Russia has been importing Muslims... Vatnikmuslims from the Stans/Former SSRs. However, many have become radical.

What's really needed is good cheap housing near places with jobs.

I remember reading that Rome had the same problem, because real estate in Rome had become so expensive. Here was some of the response:

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/research/monetary-history-of-the-world/roman-empire/chronology_-by_-emperor/imperial-rome-julio-claudian-age/augustus-27bc-14ad/family-laws-of-augusts-27bc-14ad/

Augustus decided to protect the Roman race. Between 2 BC and 4 AD as the population declined and the rise of foreign immigrants and slaves increased, Augusts enacted family laws that he hoped would reduce inter-breeding between Romans and non-Romans. ...

With the rising wealth of Rome came the lower Latin birth rate reducing Rome’s population to a level lower than ever before in history. Augustus saw having children as moral. He used his powers as tribune-for-life to initiate legislation that he hoped would encourage marriage. Infanticide remained legal and at a husband’s discretion, but people who remained single or married without children after they were twenty were to be penalized through taxation.

To further what he saw as morality, Augustus had prostitution taxed, and he made homosexuality a punishable offense.

that makes sense. I can see that. people in the cities do have less kids, no room. out in the country it is more common to have 5-10 kids for farmers. More of us need to be farming, not easy life though. And land is too expensive out here now to make farming worthwhile.

Land and real estate has to be cheap for that to work. That's hard when we have government importing tons of people.

I don't understand why they are so hell bent on population growth. There is nothing positive in that, it's not organic or sustainable.

The downside of capitalism is the constant need for growth to support purchases. Perhaps nature is indicating we have grown way too much. Imagine a world where with the same amount of people as 1950. Ahhhhh….so much nicer!

just thinking, that’s probably why they imported all the migrants, injection was to keep the bubble from bursting.

Killed and maimed 1 million of his subjects in a stupid frivolous war. Now crying about needing more serfs to be born.

Fucking bloody clown.

Capitalism does not need constant growth for purchases. A stable population still consumes food, needs services, and have cars and houses that need upgrade and repair. The "constant growth" is needed for support of elderly non-producing folk that have did not save for retirement.

Yes.

Now the Muslim citizens in Russia, who already have a (much) higher birthrate than non-Muslims, will have a financial incentive to have even more Muslim children, accelerating the already inevitable trend towards The Russian Caliphate.
