The first of several. Cuts across the board from USAID to PBS.

Remember, these are 50-Senate vote bills so they can't eliminate the agencies by law. But they've been defunded to husks.

Guess who voted not to get something really good today in favor of the future perfect impossible?

The House of Representatives has advanced a $9.4 billion spending cut package, proposed by President Trump, to be voted on later this week on the House floor.

That's about 0.13% of the $7 trillion budget.

Ah, the last comprehensive spending bill that Massie cleared his committee and voted YES to back in May 2023 that lasted until Feb 2025.

He was fine with trillions then. What changed? Oh, Trump is in office, not Xiden.

First of several. This is a PIECE of the budget. Not the whole budget. The deliberate misframing out there is comparing bills dealing with pieces of the budget to the whole of last year's budget.

Austerity was not a campaign promise. Closing the border and deporting was. Deporting doesn't run off unicorn farts

Common sense was a campaign promise. I would say fiscal responsibility falls under that category.
