I've met plenty of Muslims but don't have even one as a friend. My network is large. Most won't kill you, but they don't want to be friends with anyone they think is Catholic, Jew or Christian. That's my experience here in IL as a non-religious white guy.

Really I wouldn't want them in my country. I don't want them here now. Maybe it's different in the coastal areas. But I know it's rampant in the UK, at least from semi trusted media reports.

Slight derail, but the founders of the US really fucked up with slavery. I mean look at Africa. Are there a few decent parts, maybe. We should have never brought slaves over. Slavery has caused so many problems even now. The blacks should have just stayed in Africa and we not buy them and figure out how to harvest better.

Back to the OP Muslim should want to and just stay in the ME. That's their land and just deal with it. Somehow Qatar and Dubai have massive cities that would be considered 1st world. The problem is the different sects of Islam are so confrontational with each other and then confrontational with Western religions. They just seem to be miserable people that fast for a month, make women wear towels over their head, stone them, kill gays, etc... That's not a population I'd enjoy living among.
