“The income tax came in 1913. As I said in my speech last week, instead of taxing our citizens to enrich foreign nations, we should be tariffing and taxing foreign nations to enrich our citizens. Does that make sense?”

It's time for America to externalize revenue.

I mean, globalist CEOs are always saying "Run America like a business..." then we should be externalizing our operating costs outside the business of Amerca!

TARIFFS:

We keep our businesses
We keep our money
But still get the goods

FREELY TRADING AWAY AMERICA:

We lose our businesses

But still get the goods

International Postal Union subsidies, which China fights to remain as 4th world status as if it was 1955...

makes it cheaper to send electronics air freight over the Pacific, into a truck at Long Beach, and all the way to a warehouse in Kansas City, than it would cost a US company to send it halfway across a state via any carrier, be it USPS Express Mail, UPS, or FedEx.

Everything with "Free Trade" is rigged and subsidized.

Now that we are tariffing Mexico and Canadian vehicles, we need to add Korea and Japan to the 25% list.

They both mostly manufacture their cars here. Japan isn't the Great Exporter it used to be anymore.

German car companies assemble cars here, with components shipped in like engines. They should be tariffed.

"Pay this tariff on goods from abroad so we can release your shipment from Customs. We really don't give a shit why you brought this huge container of Pink Lawn Flamingos and Purple Plastic Buttplugs."

vs.

"Pay a tax on being productive inside the USA. Also, your bank informed the IRS of a suspicious income source. We also want to know why you got a $900 Venmo last month. Who, why, and what was this payment for? You have 60 days to comply. Also, your bonus is being subject to withholding tax at the maximum rate until you can prove the bracket you're in next April."

Which one is less invasive of privacy and less likely to promote government overreach?
