Depends. Yes its weak compared to the troops sent to Vietnam. But the Pentagon figures that there won't be 50,000 boots on the ground like in combat zones of Vietnam.

They figure for a more asymmetric warfare strategy and use of tech like Patriot missiles will be enough to drag the war out.

But I don't see the USA continuing to send +$50 billion each year to Ukraine as likely they are going to wind down the spending.

I think if the House of Representatives approves the Ukraine spending for 2024, they'll want to cut 15% from what the Senate approved as part of a compromise.

Point is it's a huge jumping off point for knowing what is going on with stuff that actually effects you. I've been done with main stream media for over a decade.
