I wont even step foot in a Steak and Shake or McDonald's any longer, because they force their customers to order from a kiosk.
The steps are just too fiddly and granular, you have to go through a big production for every sandwich, side item and drink on your order.
My Daughter will ask if anyone wants MD, then she proceeds to order on a phone app. Then by time she places the order waits a few minutes goes there and back. Usually 30 to 45 minutes has passed, the food is just cold and listless. The only way I'll do drive through food, is if I'm opening the package and tearing into it as soon as I put the car in drive. Chinese and Pizza are the only two foods I can tolerate ordering from somewhere and bringing home or having it delivered. The industry has figured out how to deliver food just as hot and fresh as when it was bagged. (if they are worth a shit).
And I would throw cold sandwiches on that list. But not burgers, short order and entre meals. Especially fast food which the only redeeming quality that it may have, is you get it served hot off the grill and the fries should be pipping hot. Which you need to consume on location or as soon as it's passed through your window.

All of that aside, I'm just not into industrial food, that the ingredients has to be specially modified to help in the automated process of preparing the food.

AI may replace the workers but it can't replace the customer. A hard pass for me.
