but i think this time there won't be fire sale prices when svb gets liquidated unlike in the past such as with washington mutual ...

so know one is going to buy at too deep of a discount any bank assets.... there might be some self-dealing among the ivy league crowd to get some discounts but it will be smaller than in the past such as in 2008 ....

Agreed. The majority of the shorting happened already last week.

I used to work someplace that drew checks off SVB. I think it was Trove, a re-commerce company. They aren't public though, and I think this is where we'll see more of the bloodbath, private startups going under.

Wouldn't short any at the moment, if Fed follows through with bailout you're looking at a big rip up
