Growing up we used to be able to trust our eyes and ears. When we saw a video clip, we knew it was legit. Sure photos could be faked... but it was usually obvious, if you knew what to look for.
Men were men. Women were women. Capitalists were the good guys. Communist were the bad guys.
Sure there were all sorts of -isms; racism, sexisim, etc. but somehow we got by. It wasn't perfect but at least you knew who was who.
Now it's like we're living in the Matrix... and as an aside I just learned yestersay that the Wachowski Brothers, who made the film, are now known as the "Wachowski Sisters".
Ever since Covid there are days where I question everything. Trump / Musk exposure of alleged corruption and money mismanagement has accelerated that.
Im a sceptic. Most of what I see / read be it MSM, Zero hedge, or here on PatNet I take with a grain (or more) of salt. Do I think there is a super secret cabal of chid traffic pedophiles operating at the higher levels... No. Do I think they are sacrficing children for some age inhibiting substance called Andechrome? nope.
Do I think there is corruption in government? Yes. On both sides of the political spectrum? Yes. But at this point I cant trust me eyes and ears, and more concerning can't do my own "research" because all sources, for or against any given argument are biased.
I could argue the earth is flat (not that it is) and fine semi-rational reasons to "prove" this.
The more technology permates our lives and the more this "AI" is pushed, the worse it gets. It's a feedback loop based on false / misleading or outright wrong information. Truth no longer matters.
If half of the money mismanagement DOGE has uncovered is real then perhaps we SHOULD be dumping tea into the harbor. But it's all propaganda, from either side. Facts are hard to come by when the system is manipulating the data and controlling the narrative to support an agenda.
Propaganda is real and for at least a decade the government has been feeding us what they want us to hear.
